Shuttlecock Boys Review Story Plot
Four Delhi based middle-class youngsters Manav (Aakar Kaushik), Loveleen (Manish Nawani), Pankaj (Alok Kumar) and Gaurav (Vijay Prateek) are quite different from each other as far as backgrounds and temperaments are concerned and yet they bond every evening over a game of badminton in a dusty by lane of their locality. When Manav, who works as a cook at a restaurant, is told that his place of work would shut down soon, he and his other three friends decide to take a chance and come up with their own catering business so that they can make it 'big in life'. After the initial teething issues that they face, the enterprising quartet actually forms a small outfit and whether they succeed or fail forms the rest of the plot.
Shuttlecock Boys Review Performances
Director Hemant Gaba has roped in fresh actors for the roles of the four youngsters and it must be said that they perform really well- by which we mean that they are quite natural in their roles and none of them look like they are acting as such. The performances are so natural and breezy that at times, you might feel like you are watching a documentary about four people and their lives. The chemistry between the four too is quite natural and the way they rib each other the way good friends do and support each other in times of crisis is something that might remind you of your own gang of special friends.

As mentioned earlier, though the film is a low budget indie product, Hemant Gaba has done a commendable job. What works for the film is that though the film deals with various issues like ambition, self-esteem, heart-break and determination, it has been done in a very light and easy manner…so, there is no melodrama or over the top sequences, which might make you catch your breath and yet, you will find yourself rooting for the four underdogs when they struggle and feel like cheering when they achieve success.

All in all, Shuttlecock Boys is worth one watch if you want a taste of non-starry but nevertheless pleasant fare…
