Refuting speculations that actress Sonakshi Sinha, who will be seen in a special song in upcoming flick OMG Oh My God! has landed a small role in the film due to actor-producer Akshay Kumar, producers of the movie said that Sinha does not have a role in the film.
A spokesperson from the production house was quoted saying that though Sinha will be seen n a special song go Govinda alongwith Prabhu Deva in the film, the actress does not have a role as such in the film. A few weeks back, actor Paresh Rawal had also claimed that the story of the film is such that it does not need a female lead as such.
Starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, this light-hearted film, produced by Grazing Goat Productions, Viacom 18 and S. Spice, is about a cynical atheist Kanjibhai (Paresh Rawal), who files a case against God, compelling Lord Krishna (Akshay Kumar) to make an appearance to defend himself against the charges leveled against him.

It is a well known fact that actress Sonakshi Sinha, who was last seen opposite Akshay Kumar in 'Rowdy Rathore', had been roped in for a dance number with Prabhu Deva in Akshay's next flick 'OMG Oh My God!'.
However, what many might not know is that Sinha has recently managed to land a small role in the film too, all thanks to her 'Rowdy' co-star Akki! Sources claim that Sinha requested Akshay to let her perform a few scenes in the movie too a she was impressed with the way the movie has turned out and gracious gent that he is, Akki, who is also the co-producer of the movie, agreed to do so.
This might definitely come as a surprise to many, specially after Paresh Rawal's recent comments that 'OMG Oh My God!' is the kind of film that does not require a heroine. Wonder what Mr. Rawal has to to say about these recent developments now…

Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who played the demure village belle in her debut film Dabangg and then in Akshay Kumar starrer Rowdy Rathore, certainly seems to be fond of her on screen desi image.
Sources claim that Sinha, who will be paired opposite Imran Khan in Tigmanshu Dhulia's Milan Talkies will be once more seen in a desi avatar! Confirming the news, sources attached to the film were quoted saying that as Sinha's village girl look has worked wonders for her in the aforementioned two films, the makers were quite keen to bank on it and as her look suited the storyline of the movie, it was an added bonus for everyone.
Sonakshi's next film is Joker, where she will be paired opposite her 'Rowdy' co-star Akshay Kumar and this Shirish Kunder directed sci-fi adventure film is set to release this weekend.

The upcoming film OMG Oh My God!, directed by Umesh Shukla, is based on a popular play entitled Kishan vs Kanhaiya. Actor Paresh Rawal, who will be seen playing Kanjibhai in the film, is also the protagonist in this play. Kishan vs Kanhaiya was staged at the Rang Sharda auditorium at Bandra yesterday.
Various known personalities attended the staging of the play. However, it was a pleasant surprise to see veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha along with his daughter Sonakshi Sinha at the auditorium. Akshay Kumar also accompanied the father-daughter jodi for the play. While Sonakshi Sinha has done a guest appearance in the song Go Go Govinda, along with Prabhu Deva for the film, Akshay, apart from being the co-producer, will be seen playing God in it.
OMG Oh My God!, starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Mithun Chakraborty, is about Kanji Mehta (Paresh Rawal), an atheist, who sues God because an earthquake destroys his antique shop. Amidst his legal tussles, he runs into Krishna Vasudev Yadav (played by Akshay Kumar), a man who claims to be God.
What follows is a journey of epic proportions, of self-realization and legal masterstrokes.
The film is set to release on September 28.

There are stories galore about Bollywood stars bonding with each other while shooting for films. However, the one-off instance of professional rivalry does exist.
Buzz is that during the initial stages of the Punjab schedule of the film Son Of Sardaar, the two female actresses Juhi Chawla and Sonakshi Sinha did not quite start off on a good note.
According to sources from the unit, there were not enough vanity vans on the sets of the film since the unit was in a small town, a few hours away from Patiala. They add that since the number, of vanity-vans were not enough for the actors, the production requested people to share their vans with each other, hence, asking Juhi and Sonakshi to share a single van. The two actresses were initially unhappy about sharing the same van, considering they had to sleep in it too, but they did not have any option and agreed.
However, it was a mere aberration and the two actresses got along quite well henceforth.
Son Of Sardaar, directed by Ashwani Dhir and starring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Juhi Chawla and Sonakshi Sinha, is set to release on November 13.

Though Sonakshi Sinha has been on a roll ever since her debut film, Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms is in no mood to put up with her starry tantrums. Sonakshi, who was reportedly, roped in for Ekta's upcoming project 'Milan Talkies', has been dropped from the film because the actress refused to let go off her traditional avatar.
Sources reveal that Sinha was cast opposite Imran Khan in the film, however she was dropped because she didn't want to come out of her Indian avatar. Tarun Garg, the CEO of Balaji however has a different tale to tell. Garg stated that the female lead of the film was never finalized. He also added that the casting process is still on.
The film will be helmed by noted filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia and is expected to go on floors early next year.

Juhi Chawla and Sonakshi Sinha got along so well during the shooting of Son Of Sardaar in Patiala, that they used to hang out and shop at the local markets together for hours.
Sources from the unit claim that Juhi and Sonakshi would disappear for hours whenever they had an afternoon call time during their 15-day-long shooting schedule in Patiala.
Apparently, they would frequent the local markets to shop for souvenirs and local stuff and would roam around for hours. The sources add that this bonding and shopping activity among the two actresses left the director Ashwini Dhir quite angry at times.
The theatrical trailer of Son Of Sardaar has received rave reviews from all quarters and is set to hit the screens on Diwali this year.
The film, starring Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt, releases on November 13.

Actress Sonakshi Sinha might be known as a typical daddy's little girl but it seems that father Shatrughan Sinha, who is fondly called the 'Shotgun', is quite scared of his 'Rowdy' daughter!
The Kalicharan actor, who was recently discharged from the hospital, claimed that daughter Sonakshi has strictly forbidden him from stressing himself by meeting too many people. Sonakshi has also reportedly confiscated his phones and virtually kept him under a 'house arrest', which prompted the witty Shatrughan to quip that Sonakshi is the only woman who he is afraid of. The veteran actor-politician also added that he is afraid of his daughter to the extent that he cannot defy any command given by her.
Sinha was admitted at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in suburban Andheri on July 2 after he complained of breathlessness following some paint work at his residence. Sinha later underwent surgery and was discharged recently.

Sonakshi Sinha has proved her mettle in fashion designing, in acting with films such as Dabangg and Rowdy Rathore and in dancing with the Go Go Govinda number in OMG Oh My God!.
However, turns out that as a college student Sonakshi wanted to sing songs and take part in a musical reality show, but couldn't fulfill her dream.
Sonakshi was recently quoted saying that when she was in college, she was very much interested to go for Indian Idol and sing songs; however, she remained a bathroom singer.
The 25-year-old was recently on the sets of the sixth season of the popular singing reality show to promote her forthcoming film Joker.
She also said that she is delighted to have got an amazing opportunity to meet the fantastic singers and hear their songs.
Joker, starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Shreyas Talpade, is set to release on August 31.

A day ago, it had been reported that Prabhu Deva, who is directing Shahid Kapoor in his next massy entertainer Namak, is in talks with Katrina Kaif to play the female lead for the movie.
However, sources now claim that Prabhu Deva has decided to cast his 'Rowdy' actress Sonakshi Sinha for the role. It seems that Prabhu was initially keen to cast Katrina opposite Kapoor but decided to go with Sonakshi for the role.
Namak, an action thriller based around the drug mafia in Madhya Pradesh, will have Shahid Kapoor play an out and out action hero. Prabhu's last two flicks Wanted and Rowdy Rathore were major hits and it is expected that Namak too would enjoy the same success.

Sonakshi Sinha's item number Go Go Govinda from Akshay Kumar's forthcoming production OMG Oh My God! was shown to her father Shatrughan Sinha in hospital.
Shatrughan has recently had a bypass at the Kokilaben Hospital in suburban Mumbai. Special arrangements were made for the veteran actor to see the song. The song features Sonakshi Sinha dancing in complete abandon along with her Rowdy Rathore director Prabhu Deva.
Shatrughan was quoted saying that this song reminded him of his own popular Govinda numbers such as Shor Mach Gaya Shor Dekho Aaya Maakhan Chor and Teen Batti Waala Govinda Aala.

Poor Sonakshi Sinha, who has often been criticized for her curvy figure and is on a diet since the past few days, had a tough time while shooting for an item song with Prabhu Deva on the sets of upcoming movie OMG Oh My God!, it seems.
Sources claim that Prabhu Deva, who has choreographed the go, go Govinda song in the movie, would deliberately order spicy kanda bhajiyas for the entire crew during shoot breaks and the Dabangg dame had to lock herself in the vanity van so as to not get tempted to eat the oily snack!
Sonakshi Sinha, who was the female lead in Prabhu Deva's last flick Rowdy Rathore, will be next seen opposite Akshay Kumar once again in Joker.

Director Milan Luthria is looking for an actress to cast opposite Saif Ali Khan in his upcoming film. Apparently, Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Sharma are the top two contenders to clinch the role.
This Milan's first production and he wants to keep his cards close to his chest. Bhushan Kumar, who is also co-producing the film, is also keeping the project well-guarded.
The film is set to go on floors early next year. Milan Luthria is already working with Sonakshi Sinha in the sequel to Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, where she is cast opposite Imran Khan.
Actress Sonakshi Sinha had a difficult time on the sets of OMG Oh My God! as she hurt her eye while shooting for a song in the film. A few days ago, the actress also sprained her neck during the film's shoot.
The actress was required to shoot for the Go Go Govinda song in a 3-day schedule, but unfortunately it had to be stopped midway, owing to the colors and water used in the song.
Produced by Akshay Kumar, OMG Oh My God! features the actor along with Paresh Rawal and Mithun Chakraborty in prominent roles.

It had been earlier reported that actress Sonakshi Sinha has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Imran Khan in Tigmanshu Dhulia's Milan Talkies. However, sources claim that the Rowdy actress might soon be replaced by Sonam Kapoor.
It is believed that as Sonakshi and Imran will be starring together in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, Dhulia did not want to repeat the pairing and wanted someone else to play the female lead. Dhulia and producer Ekta Kapoor will reportedly discuss this issue and then make their decisions about the cast.
Dhulia's last film Paan Singh Tomar was acclaimed both critically and commercially and his upcoming Milan Talkies reportedly deals with a small town love story set against the backdrop of video piracy.

Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha has recently undergone a bypass surgery and is currently recuperating at a suburban hospital. When asked if her father’s health is affecting work, daughter Sonakshi Sinha said, "All I can is the promotions are not getting affected in fact they are going on very smoothly. My dad will be proud of my good work."
Shatrughan Sinha had been admitted to Kokilaben hospital on July 2 after he complained of breathlessness due to some painting work at his residence.

Sonakshi Sinha, who is presently gearing up for the release of her forthcoming film Joker opposite Akshay Kumar, has started shooting for Salman Khan's Dabangg 2.
Sequel to blockbuster Dabangg, Dabangg 2 will see Salman in his Robinhood Pandey avatar and Sonakshi Sinha will reprise her role of Rajjo. Sinha took to Twitter to announce her presence on the sets writing, "Aaj ki taaza khabar... Rajjo dabangg 2 ki set par haazir hai! Shoot starts today :) (sic)."
The second edition of the 2010 blockbuster is being helmed by Arbaaz Khan. The movie is slated to release on December 21, 2012 and will also feature Arbaaz, Vinod Khanna, Deepak Dobriyal and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.

Ace filmmaker Milan Luthria has found an interesting way to make his upcoming film, the sequel to Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, look as realistic as possible.
A few days ago, it was reported that the director has asked Imran Khan to interact with local goons from the city to prepare for his role. Now, it seems he wants his lead to get acquainted with his co-star Sonakshi Sinha as well.
Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan have been asked to meet each other and develop a certain camaraderie. In fact, it was Milan himself who introduced them to each other during a meeting.
The two are trying to socialize as much as possible, with Imran even planning to invite Sonakshi for dinner at his place.

A day or so ago, we had reported that 'Rowdy' actress Sonakshi Sinha has been finalized as one of the female leads in Sajid Khan's Judwaa 2 starring Saif Ali Khan and now, sources claim that the actress has also bagged the female lead role in Tigmanshu Dhulia's Milan Talkies, which stars Imran Khan as the male lead.
It seems that producer Ekta Kapoor was quite impressed with Sinha's performance in Dabangg because of which, she decided to rope the actress in Milan Talkies as Kapoor felt Sinha would do justice to the role of a small town girl.
Sonakshi Sinha, who was last seen playing Akshay Kumar's love interest in Rowdy Rathore will also be seen paired opposite the actor in Joker next.
