After playing a director in the Vidya Balan starrer The Dirty Picture, Emraan Hashmi will be seen as a filmmaker again in Raaz 3. However, the actor maintains that this time he is playing a character who is behind the profit and not the art.
At a press interaction, he said, "In The Dirty Picture, I played an artistic director and here I play a 2012 director. My character in Raaz 3 is more contemporary and relatable. He only wants box office success and in The Dirty Picture he had complete contempt for commercial cinema, he used to think that commercial movies are not good. So, both are very different!"
Produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, Raaz 3 is directed by Vikram Bhatt and stars Emraan Hashmi, Bipasha Basu and Esha Gupta.

Poor Bipasha Basu, who was quite excited about travelling across the country to promote her upcoming supernatural thriller Raaz 3, had a bad experience recently when in Ahmedabad for a promotional tour.
Sources claim that a mob, that had gathered to watch Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta and Bipasha Basu during a meet and greet event, went beserk at the sight of the dusky dame and went out of control, resulting in a scary experience for the Bengali belle. It seems that one fan also tried to pull at her skirt and Basu ended up injuring her right hand while trying to flee her crazy fans.
In the Vikram Bhatt directed Raaz 3, Bipasha Basu will be seen playing the role of an actress, who resorts to black magic to create troubles for her competitor and rival in love, played by Esha Gupta. Maybe Bips can do some black magic in real life to wreak havoc in the lives of such crazy fans, eh?

Bhatts' next outing, Raaz 3, is up for release and it is clearly visible that Bipasha Basu has turned out to be the centre of all attraction. Whether it is the promos or the other publicity designs, it is Bipasha who is hogging all the limelight. One tends to ask the makers if this is being a little unfair towards Emraan Hashmi, considering the fact that he is the most saleable entity in the film and has come to his own over the last few years. Didn't he deserve a better place under the sun?
Smiles director Vikram Bhatt, "He is someone who is really mature and understands the way film promotion works. In fact he was the only actor from the film who was throughout part of the marketing meetings that we had. I have worked with him in Footpath years ago and from the Emraan of those days to the one I know today, he has really smartened."
Mukesh Bhatt further reaffirms that it was a conscious call taken by all involved and Emraan was in the loop throughout. Moreover, looking at the film, he feels that Bipasha was just the right fit for the role.
"See, the film's script demanded the casting of Bipasha; we realised that nobody better than her could have done the film. She is the most apt casting and fitted the role to the T. In the film she is playing a top superstar who is now losing out to a much younger starlet (Esha Gupta). If you draw parallels to the real life scenario, today Bipasha has been in the business for ten years and on a threshold where she may be developing the feeling of losing out. Who better than her to have an apt understanding of the character's emotion? We knew she would do complete justice to the character and she has done exactly that."
We would know when the film releases all over in 3D as well as 2D on 7th September.

Actress Bipasha Basu, whose next film Raaz 3 releases next week, had a weak moment this morning. She poured her heart out on Twitter. She wrote, "Sipping on my green tea n realising tht 7 sep is really close nw.#Raaz3 Releases in a week!Feeling a good mix of Eagerness n Anxiousness!"
She also had good things to say about her mother. Talking about her, she tweeted, "All thru growing up years we rebel against wht our mom says n always later realise tht evrything tht she always says is only fr our good."
"Being a good daughter is what I want to be always:)To make her proud of me forever:)," she further added.
She also got sentimental about all the adulation she has received over the years. She wrote, "Strongest prayer, 2 words of gratitude ,THANK YOU.To God,To Family,To Friends and All of You who make me feel like the special one always.."
She confessed it was one of those days that she felt a bit vulnerable after waking up. She posted, "One of those days when u wake up a lil vulnerable and feeling a lot!Happens to all I guess:)"
Playing an intense character in her upcoming film, directed by Vikram Bhatt, Basu certainly has a lot of happiness coming her way.
Her film Raaz 3, also starring Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta, releases on September 7.

Vikram Bhatt's Bipasha Basu-Emraan Hashmi-Esha Gupta starrer Raaz 3 is set to release next week. However, the director is still busy working on the film's post-production.
Although the film was censored earlier this week and passed without cuts for an 'A' certificate, Vikram decided upon doing more work on the film. He took this decision after a technical screening of the film for the cast and crew on Sunday evening.
Confirming this recent development, Vikram was quoted saying that the film is complete and censored but a little bit of work is left of the special effects. He added that since Raaz 3 is the first 3D film for Vishesh Films, he wants it to be as polished in technique as possible.
Raaz 3 is set to hit the screens on September 7.

Though Bipasha Basu is a total fitness freak, she is quite sensitive to allergens. Bipasha, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Raaz 3, has revealed that she is allergic to many things and has to depend on a pill, to tackle her ailments.
Bipasha says that she is so dependant on the pill, Allegra, that during the shoot of Race, Akshaye Khanna gave her the title of 'Princess Allegra'.
"I am very prone to allergies. I've allergy from last eight years and before I put my make-up on I have to have a tablet called Allegra and because of it, Akshaye Khanna christened me 'Princess Allegra', during the shooting of Race. I live on Allegra, after every eight hours I have that tablet, because I'm highly sensitive, otherwise my eyes become red," said Bipasha.
Bipasha will next be seen on-screen in Vikram Bhatt's Raaz 3, which will also feature Esha Gupta and Emraan Hashmi in the lead roles. The film is a supernatural thriller and is slated to release on September 7, 2012.

Bipasha Basu, who once refused to star opposite Emraan Hashmi, is all praise for the actor now. Bipasha will be seen opposite Emraan Hashmi in Vikram Bhatt's upcoming film Raaz 3 and the Bong bombshell feels that Hashmi is a fiery actor.
When asked how her experience was, working with the 'serial kisser' of Bollywood, Basu said, "From Footpath till Raaz 3, I think Emraan has done really well for himself. He is a great artiste, he is an effortless actor. All of us were very lost on this set, due to different reasons, but Emraan was all calm and composed. You'll think that he is so not involved but when he comes and you say action, then he just pounces on the role. He is that kind of a fiery actor, he is tremendous."
The third edition of Bhatt Camp's Raaz franchise, Raaz 3 also stars Esha Gupta and is slated to release on September 7, this year.

There was a time when Emraan Hashmi, who was nicknamed the 'serial kisser' because of his on screen lip-locks, had admitted that he does not enjoy being called that and prefers to be known more for his performance than his kisses.
However, after giving impressive performances in films like The Dirty Picture and Shanghai, it seems that Hashmi will be doing what he does best in his upcoming film Raaz 3. Sources claim that the Vikram Bhatt directed flick, which stars Bipasha Basu and Esha Gupta in lead roles, will have Hashmi locking lips with both the gorgeous women! The film is a supernatural thriller about a woman scorned in love, who takes to black magic to create havoc in the life of her rival and the consequences that follow.
Well well…what can we say? Some men have all the luck, eh?

Esha Gupta, who made a sizzling debut in Jannat 2, and will now be seen in Raaz 3 and Chakravyuh, is fast-acquiring a reputation of being a thorough professional.
So much so that she is giving a family wedding a miss as she will be busy promoting her upcoming film.
Esha says, ''The wedding is going to be a grand affair, starting from 24th August to 17th September. There will also be some royal pre-wedding functions that will be held in Delhi, Jodhpur and Ludhiana. I and my family are all very excited about it. But I am feeling sad at the same time because I won't be able to attend any of the functions. As Raaz 3 and Chakravyuh are nearing its release dates, we will be very busy with its promotions, media meets, city tours and other things. I really don't want to miss it as it will be the first wedding in our family... but I have no option.''
Let's hope that Esha's sincerity pays off and she goes on to become a huge star!

When Bipasha Basu decided to get into the fold of Bhatts after a hiatus, the makers gave her a hearty welcome. So much so that it seemed Emraan Hashmi was taken for granted as all their focus shifted on Bipasha, her look and presentation. It didn't stop just during the filming as even the promotional campaign started with her. It was obvious that Emraan couldn't have been expected to take it all lying down.
"When the first poster was launched, it was Bipasha who hogged maximum space. Later even in the theatrical promo, she was presented as the central protagonist. This wasn't all as Mahesh Bhatt even went ahead and wrote an entire article about Bipasha while drawing parallels between her real and reel life characters. It was particularly surprising that Emraan was nowhere around. There was not a word spoken on him", comments an insider.
Though Emraan didn't have a face off with Bhatts on this, it was expected that Bhatts would realise sooner or later that the most saleable person in the film couldn't be ignored for way too long.
"It has now been decided that Bhatt saab would be introducing Emraan as well Esha Gupta through his write-ups. In any case, Esha has openly made her displeasure clear about being given a secondary treatment", a source confirms.
Makers feel that a lot is being made out of nothing and attribute all of this to a 'planned' promotional campaign instead of this being a knee jerk reaction. "Bhatt saab would be soon hammering a lot about Emraan as well", says Mukesh Bhatt, "You can't say that our campaign is favouring Bipasha. The promo clearly conveys that 'Raaz 3' is about a film director (Emraan) torn between two superstars (Bipasha, Esha)."
Adds Vikram, "Emraan is a member of the house and he is perhaps the only one who was there in our marketing meetings. He is clued into our plans. There are no issues whatsoever."
Now we would like Emraan to say the same as well.

Vikram Bhatt is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming film Raaz 3 and the director has revealed that the horror flick is based on true rumours.
"I have heard a lot about many actors and actresses, that they practice dark magic but obviously these are all hearsay as we have never seen anyone actually doing it but then, I don't even chit chat with ghosts (laughs)," said Bhatt at a press conference.
On being asked if he believes whether people from the industry practice black magic, Vikram said, "The film is based on true rumours. There are some rumours which we found interesting and especially Bollywood is a place where success and fame is so transitory, sometimes it's there, other times it's not, so definitely there is a lot of jealousy among people and in all this, people may use black magic."
Raaz 3 stars Bipasha Basu, Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta in the lead roles and is slated to release on September 7, 2012.

Actor Emraan Hashmi might have been much appreciated lately for his choice of roles and his hard work and determination, but the actor, who was tagged a 'serial kisser' for his on screen lip locks, recently admitted that before venturing into acting, he had worked as an assistant director but was very lazy at it.
Hashmi, who will be next seen in Bhatt camp thriller Raaz 3, revealed in an interview that he was quite excited about this project as he had worked as an assistant on 2002 release Raaz. Hashmi further went on to add that as an assistant director, he was quite lazy and would spend most his time pleading with his uncle Mahesh Bhatt to write a film for him, as he had by then decided to become an actor.
Directed by Vikram Bhatt, Raaz 3 will star Bong bombshell Bipasha Basu and Esha Gupta apart from Hashmi. The film is slated to release on September 7, 2012.

Raaz 3 is an upcoming romantic suspense horror thriller directed by Vikram Bhatt. This Mukesh Bhatt production is an addition to the successful Raaz franchise and brings together Emraan Hashmi (Raaz - The Mystery Continues...) and Bipasha Basu (Raaz 3). There are six tracks in the album with Jeet Ganguly leading the bunch and guest composer Rashid Khan pitching in with a song too.
Album begins with Deewana Kar Raha Hai which is sung by Javed Ali and is composed and written by Rashid Khan. A soft, melodious and melancholic track, though it is successful in conveying the right emotions, there is something missing due to which it doesn't classify as anything extraordinary.
Shafqat Ali Khan makes his entry with Zindagi Se, a relatively faster paced track, which carries on the mood from the one before. Both songs are very typical of Vishesh Films music, which means there is certain passion and sadness in them that is also expected to prevail in the film as a whole. An average, it has Shafqat making an attempt to give it some lift but the tune doesn't quite help the cause.
Sanjay Masoom has penned both Zindagi Se and Rafta Rafta and they are so similar that they can be mistaken for the other. Only difference lies in the vocals as this one is sung by K.K. (instead of Shafqat). However even he is unable to add to this song due to which it remains as a regular track without any life in it.
Finally, Sonu Niigaam and Shreya Ghoshal bring some kind of happiness in the album with Oh my Love that sort of acts as a mood changer. A romantic track, surprisingly the chemistry between the two singers duo isn't as impressive as it generally is. However it may do well in establishing the relationship between the two principle characters.
Kya Raaz Hai is the next in the album, which is title track of the movie. It depicts the motive and intention of the plot. Lyrics by Kumaar are filled with words like Marhaba or Saiyaan while the music too has a similar characteristic Arabian flavour to it while being interspersed with hip hop beats. Though Shreya Ghoshal does well by also bringing in variations, the lyrics and composition are mediocre which pull the song down.
Last track in the album is Khayalon Mein which is again a Shreya solo. It's a soft romantic track which starts quite slowly and sees a picks in tempo. Lyrics (again by Kumaar) and music, yet again, are ordinary and there is nothing new for the listener since both the song and the situation are very clichéd.
One never expects 'Vishesh Films' music to fail even if the movie may turn out to be weak. Time and again they manage to create certain mood, hence resulting in a hit soundtrack more often than not. In case of Raaz 3 though, they miss the mark. Yes, there are reliable singers right from Sonu Niigaam to Shreya Ghoshal and K.K. roped in but to no avail as the music and the lyrics are very standard. Though the franchise is a hit and Vikram Bhatt should make it a hat trick with the film, the buzz would have been even higher had the music too worked in entirety.

Director Vikram Bhatt, who had showcased his affair with Sushmita Sen in the 2006 film Ankahee, will now be portraying his relationship with actress Ameesha Patel in his upcoming film Raaz 3.
Buzz is that Bipasha Basu's character in the film is based on Ameesha, with whom he split in 2008.
Director Vikram Bhatt was recently quoted saying that when Ameesha met him, she was a star and when they parted ways, she was not.
Raaz 3, starring Bipasha Basu, Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta, is set to release on September 7.

Would Raaz 3 manage to meet its deadlines? That's the rumour going around in certain segments of the industry circles, what with its theatrical trailer being launched just a little over a month before the film’s planned release on 7th September. It is being rumoured that since the Emraan Hashmi and Bipasha Basu starrer has been made in 3D, the makers have to work overtime to ensure a timely release.
"Unlike Joker which decided to drop the idea of releasing the film in 3D, Raaz 3 moved ahead with it's original plans. Vikram Bhatt has shot the film in 3D and now it only needs to be processed for the big screen. With only four weeks remaining now for the film's release, the countdown has begun", informs an insider.
This is pretty much a deja vu situation as one is reminded of RA. One which had struggled last Diwali when its 3D prints struggled to reach theatres till the last minute.
"Well, RA. One and for that matter even Don 2 was a different story as they were converted from 2D to 3D. Also, the decision to also have a 3D version was taken at a later stage whereas Raaz 3 was always planned this way", says a source close to Vikram.
Vikram Bhatt denies though that there are any changes in plans.
"No way", Vikram shoots back, "The film is not getting delayed by a day. We have already started promoting the film and the songs are out as well."
With Barfi!, Heroine, English Vinglish and OMG Oh My God! all set to arrive in subsequent weeks, the makers of Raaz 3 are all the more conscious of ensuring that it releases as per the original schedule.
