Actors Prateik and Amy Jackson, who were romantically paired opposite each other in Ekk Deewana Tha, were said to be quite the love-birds in real life too and recently, Prateik had admitted at an event that he is quite protective and possessive about Jackson.

However, this nature seems to have proved to be his undoing. Sources claim that Jackson had called it quits after she got frustrated with his possessive nature. It seems that Prateik was an obsessive boyfriend who would land up at her shoots even outside Mumbai and there came a time when Amy started feeling the need for space. However, despite talking it out with Prateik, the actor reportedly did not mend his ways and this compelled Jackson to break off the relationship.

However, common friends of the duo claim that the two are merely taking a break as they need to focus on their respective careers.

The actor, who made his film debut with Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na had been on the sets of a television reality show when a contestant asked him about his relationship with Amy Jackson. Sources claim that Prateik admitted that he was very serious about Amy and also that he was quite possessive and protective about her.

Prateik will be next seen in Issaq and the actor is supposed to have undergone a physical makeover for the film by beefing up for his role.
