horeographer turned director Farah Khan, who made her acting debut with Bela Bhansali Sehgal's Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi might have claimed that she will never try acting again, but the bubbly 'Shirin' surely seems to have no objections to endorsing products. Sources claim that Khan has also signed on with Atul Kasbekar's celebrity management company to look after her endorsement deals.
Confirming the news, Farah Khan said, "According to Atul, there's a market for me to endorse products. I am open to doing endorsements as long as they are products I would be comfortable using myself. I have told him this. And also as long as people are willing to buy the products that I am asked to sell. But I can't be seen selling beauty soaps in the shower. I will be endorsing products that are suited to my age and image." Also when asked about her new mission to lose weight, Khan added, "I never bothered with looks. Now I suddenly have a chance to face the camera, so why not look my best?"
Bela Bhansali Sehgal, who made her directorial debut with Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, is reportedly planning to make a sequel to the Boman Irani-Farah Khan starrer and seems to have already made up her mind to convince Farah to face the camera again.

Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi hasn't quite managed to create magic at the box office. If the opening was lukewarm, the progress over the weekend wasn't much heartening either. The weekdays stayed on to be ordinary too with further fall in collections which means at the end of it's first week, the collections of this Sanjay Leela Bhansali production have accounted to just around 9 crores. Though this is far better than what My Friend Pinto had earned when released last year, one expected far better from this Boman Irani and Farah Khan starrer that had sent positive signals when it's promotion had kick-started.
One can't ignore the fact that Ek Tha Tiger played a major role in the film not finding good visibility and favour amongst the audience. With the Salman Khan starrer managing more than triple the collections of this Bela Sehgal directed film even in its second week, the writing was clear on the wall. Moreover, the content too wasn't really terrific enough to warrant junta stepping into theatres in hordes. All in all, this was a theek thaak affair that could entice a DVD or a satellite watch but when it came to its big screen foray, it was given a pass.
Ironically Farah Khan has faced a challenge from herself as her own production Joker has now released which means 'Shirin Farhad....' has a limited screen space in theatres. The theatrical collections are now expected to close at the 12 crore mark which is ordinary and may just about result in the film being tagged as a coverage affair.

It was recently reported that Shah Rukh Khan will be promoting good friend Farah Khan's husband Shirish Kunder's upcoming sci-fi flick Joker. However when Farah was asked about the same in a recently held Press conference, she snapped at the Media and asked them where have they seen Khan promoting the flick.
Farah said that such rumors spread by the media irritate her. When asked if the King Khan is promoting Joker an irked Farah said, "Not at all, where have you seen SRK promoting Joker. Please stop talking nonsense. Where have you seen him, he took one picture with the aliens that was it. This is why I get irritated with you all. Where is he promoting Joker has he come on any channel, has he given interviews on it. You all spread nonsense around that is the problem.
Shirish Kunder recently posted apologies to Shah Rukh Khan on micro-blogging site Twitter for making crass comments on the actor's opus RA.One. When asked about the same Farah said, "I've not read his tweet, but that's good of him, it takes a big heart to apologise. So I'm proud of my husband if he has done that."
Joker stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles and will hit the theaters on August 31, 2012.

Choreographer turned director Farah Khan's acting debut in Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi might have got her appreciation from everyone in the industry, but Khan herself has seemed to have taken a decision to never act again!
During the special screening of the Bela Bhansali Sehgal directed movie, Farah said, "Acting is such a stressful job! As a choreographer and a director, I know my work so I am comfortable with it. But acting is something very new and there is a lot of pressure on me. I just hope people like my performance and they don't feel that I have overacted or underacted in the film."
Incidentally, director Bela Bhansali Shegal, who was quite impressed with Farah's performance and dedication, was quoted saying sometime back that she is planning a sequel to the movie Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi and would ensure that Farah acts in the sequel too.
Well well…wonder what Mrs. Khan has to say about Bela's future plans now…

Choreographer turned director Farah Khan, who will be seen making her acting debut in Bela Bhansali Sehgal's directorial debut Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi recently revealed that she did not charge producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali a single penny for the role.
In a recent interview, Farah was quoted admitting that no fees were discussed and no contract was drawn as Sanjay is a close friend and she did this role for the sake of friendship. Farah also gushed about the encouragement that she received from Sanjay at all times and added that she is ready any time for any acting assignment from him.
Farah Khan will be seen playing the role of a 40 something single Parsi woman, who falls in love with another 40 something single Parsi Farhad (Boman Irani) in Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, which releases this weekend.

Farah Khan is all set to mark her acting debut in Bollywood with Bela Bhansali Sehgal's Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi. Khan is currently following a diet plan to lose weight, but her dieting went for a toss while promoting her debut film, in which she stars opposite Boman Irani.
Farah recently gave in to her food cravings, while promoting her upcoming movie in Vadodra. Her co-star Boman revealed that as-soon-as Khan landed in Vadodra, she wanted to relish Gujarati cuisine. "@TheFarahKhanis on a diet,bt d moment we landed in Vadodra she's bn asking locals where she will get a 'mazedaar thali'," wrote Irani on Twitter.
Farah and Boman received an over-whelming response from their fans in Vadodra. Boman and Farah will play two middle-aged Parsis in the film, who fall in love with each other.
Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi is co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and will hit the theaters on August 24, 2012.

'A friend in need is a friend indeed', goes the popular adage and it seems that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is all set to prove this true.
Despite the fact that an angry King Khan had assaulted filmmaker Shirish Kunder during a party, it seems that SRK recently went out of his way to promote Kunder's film Joker for the sake of his good friend and Kunder's wife Farah Khan. Sources claim that Farah Khan had recently visited Shah Rukh Khan's residence Mannat to discuss their upcoming film Happy New Year and after the discussions got over, they started talking about Joker. During the chat, when Farah asked the Don if he would like to shoot for a promotional fun video featuring him and the aliens of Joker, the superstar graciously agreed to do so.
Naturally, Farah couldn't help but gush about her good friend's gesture, despite the fact that Khan and Kunder had come to blows during the success party of Agneepath after the latter made some nasty comments about SRK's magnum opus RA.One.
Joker stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha and is a comedy about the fate of a remote village, which becomes famous across the nation following reports of alien landings and crop circles.

Choreographer-director Farah Khan, who will be making her acting debut with Bhansali product Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi might have received her share of accolades ever since the promos were unveiled, but it seems that Khan's mum-in-law is not too impressed with her bahu.
It seems that Shirish Kunder's mother was under the impression that the film her daughter-in- law is starring in is a 'homely, family type' film. However, when she was on the sets during the shooting of the movie, she saw actor Boman Irani in a semi-nude condition wearing just a towel in one of the scenes, which reportedly irked the lady.
Confirming the news, Farah Khan said that her mother-in-law was indeed upset about the whole issue and has not talked to her even since! We can't help but wonder if this is soon going to lead to an all out saas-bahu war like in the television soaps.
Directed by Bela Bhansali Sehgal, Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi is a rom-com love story between a Parsi man and a woman in their forties.

It was widely reported that Shirish Kunder's film Joker is going to be screened for the renowned Indo-American astronaut Sunita Williams. However, his wife, filmmaker Farah Khan, has clarified that the show was not just meant for the astronaut.
Farah Khan said, "This was a promotional strategy because Akshay Kumar is a NASA scientist in the film; it's about aliens and space ships. They thought we could get it relayed on that station, but there is so much red tape involved in that and it takes a long period of asking for it and all. But I never took Sunita Williams' name."
The film, also starring Sonakshi Sinha, is set to release on August 31.

Farah Khan, who makes her acting debut alongside Boman Irani is Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, has stated that she isn't sure if her husband Shirish Kunder is going to watch the film.
Farah was recently quoted saying that although she got a lot of encouragement from Shirish, but she isn't sure if he would go see the film as he is not one of those husbands who would enjoy watching his wife holding hands with someone else.
Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, directed by Bela Bhansali Sehgal, releases on August 24.

The initial poster of upcoming flick Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi showed Boman Irani and Farah Khan mimicking a scene from Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, with Boman playfully aiming a catapult at Farah's posterior.
However, apparently not satisfied with spoofing just one film, it seems that the duo wanted to spoof another film scene and none other than Farah's good friend Karan Johar stepped in to save the day.
In one of the other posters, Boman and Farah will be seen dressed like Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, complete with sunglasses and sporty attire. It seems that Farah consulted KJo about this and the latter was eager to help Farah with the spin on his debut directorial.
Directed by Bela Bhansali Sehgal, Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi revolves around the romance between a Parsi man and a woman in their forties. Incidentally, this film marks the acting debut of choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan.

Farah Khan has directed the choreography of quite a few chartbusters and now she is going to be on the receiving end. Farah will be seen in an item number in her acting debut Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi.
Farah even tweeted, "Have woken up 1 hour earlier than alarm in excitement. Joker ad out n I'm shootng an item song 4 Shirin Farhad... bt this time I'm dancing! surreal."
The film, also starring Boman Irani, is set to release on August 24

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and choreographer turned director Farah Khan, who buried the hatchet after the infamous Shirish Kunder assault incident and are coming together for Happy New Year, will be producing the film together, claim sources.
It seems that the King Khan himself suggested that they co-produce the film, which also stars John Abraham and Boman Irani. Confirming the news, Farah Khan said that she was more than happy to accept SRK's suggestion that they co-produce the film. Till now, Khan has co-produced films with Farhan Akhtar, Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra.
Relations between Khan and Farah had soured when the Don allegedly assaulted Farah's husband Shirish Kunder at a party after Kunder made nasty remarks about Shah Rukh's magnum opus RA.One.
