The upcoming film OMG Oh My God!, directed by Umesh Shukla, is based on a popular play entitled Kishan vs Kanhaiya. Actor Paresh Rawal, who will be seen playing Kanjibhai in the film, is also the protagonist in this play. Kishan vs Kanhaiya was staged at the Rang Sharda auditorium at Bandra yesterday.
Various known personalities attended the staging of the play. However, it was a pleasant surprise to see veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha along with his daughter Sonakshi Sinha at the auditorium. Akshay Kumar also accompanied the father-daughter jodi for the play. While Sonakshi Sinha has done a guest appearance in the song Go Go Govinda, along with Prabhu Deva for the film, Akshay, apart from being the co-producer, will be seen playing God in it.
OMG Oh My God!, starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Mithun Chakraborty, is about Kanji Mehta (Paresh Rawal), an atheist, who sues God because an earthquake destroys his antique shop. Amidst his legal tussles, he runs into Krishna Vasudev Yadav (played by Akshay Kumar), a man who claims to be God.
What follows is a journey of epic proportions, of self-realization and legal masterstrokes.
The film is set to release on September 28.
