Actress Ameesha Patel has been roped in as the brand ambassador for Glam Star sunglasses. She will be seen in the first advertisement of the campaign very soon.
Speaking about sunglasses being her favourite fashion accessory, the gorgeous actress says, "Sunglasses are the most important of fashion accessories, as they are immediately noticed and at the same time have a dual purpose of protecting your eyes from the dust and sunlight. So it's a necessity fashion accessory."
Talking about the brand, Glam Star, Ameesha says, "The brand is a young, fun and affordable brand... Sunglasses are such an important need to protect from pollution and sun. Most are too high end so this brand specialises in affordable yet stylish eyewear. So you won't feel guilty to own more than one." Ameesha stated that the brand's youthful, trendy styles and its affordability made her associate with it.
When asked if which Bollywood actors can pull off sunglasses really well, pat came the answer, "Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor!"
Director Vikram Bhatt, who had showcased his affair with Sushmita Sen in the 2006 film Ankahee, will now be portraying his relationship with actress Ameesha Patel in his upcoming film Raaz 3.
Buzz is that Bipasha Basu's character in the film is based on Ameesha, with whom he split in 2008.
Director Vikram Bhatt was recently quoted saying that when Ameesha met him, she was a star and when they parted ways, she was not.
Raaz 3, starring Bipasha Basu, Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta, is set to release on September 7.
Bollywood celebrities have not had a great time at the airport Customs of late. The latest to join the list are actress Ameesha Patel and her business partner Kuunal Goomer. The duo was in the UK hunting for locations for their maiden production and was stopped by the customs post a tip claiming that they were carrying undisclosed electronic goods and jewellery.
Reportedly, the Customs officials asked them to step aside and checked. However, a courteous female inspector checked Ameesha's luggage. The duo was later let off after the actress had to pay a small duty on her bag.
