Actress Minissha Lamba, who will next be seen playing a journalist in the film Joker, is all set to be the flag bearer at the Independence Day parade in Los Angeles.
Confirming the news, Minissha says, "Every year the atmosphere is charged with festivity and vibrancy of Indian culture, with many people waving the tricolor and quite a few dressed in the colors of the national flag. It is the best parade I have seen, and I am so very excited about being a flag bearer and representing India at the Independence Day parade at Los Angeles.”
Minissha will be joining the list of actors like Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu who have been flag bearers during the previous years.

Minissha Lamba's long cherished dream of becoming a journalist will finally come true, if only on celluloid. The actress is going to play a reporter in Shirish Kunder's upcoming film Joker. To prepare for the role, Minnisha had to spend three days at a news channel studio to understand how real-life journalists work.
The actress was recently quoted saying that as a kid, she used to stand in front of the mirror and practice taking interviews and used to report activities happening around.
Well, we're glad Minissha took up acting instead. However, her dream did come true somehow as she plays a journalist in this sci-fi film.
Joker, starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, is set to release on August 31.

Minissha Lamba is one of the few Bollywood actresses who shows no starry tantrums. During a recent photo shoot, Minissha was required to sit on a parapet that was a little damp owing to the rains. To everyone's surprise, the sporty diva went ahead and posed happily for the cameras without showing any discomfort about her dress getting wet.
When he manager rushed to wipe the parapet, Minissha asked him to relax saying that the dress will go for a wash. Kudos to the actress for being such a thorough professional.
The actress will next be seen in Shirish Kunder's Joker.

Minissha Lamba made her debut in the Hindi film industry with the 2005 film Yahaan. Interestingly, that film also marked the directorial debut of the Vicky Donor director Shoojit Sircar.
Looks like the duo are set to come together after 7 years for the upcoming political thriller Jaffna.
Minissha confirmed that she is in talks with the director. She stated that as of now, she is busy with the Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha starrer Joker.
She further added that she hopes Shoojit doesn't take another seven years to work with her.
