Sources claim that actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who wowed everyone with his performance and comic timing in Vicky Donor, might have been roped in to play Ranveer Singh's friend in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela.
It seems that 'Vicky' was spotted hanging out on the sets of Ram Leela and spending time with the cast and crew of the film, which has sparked off the speculations. Bhansali's Ram Leela is the Indian version of William Shakespeare's tragic romantic play Romeo And Juliet and is set in Gujarat.
Incidentally, both Ranveer and Ayushmann have played the role of typical Delhi youths in their debut films viz. Band Baaja Baaraat and Vicky Donor respectively, so it should be interesting to see the bromance between them if and when Ayushmann is officially signed up for the Ram Leela role.

After Kareena Kapoor ceased being a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming flick Ram Leela, there had been much speculation about which actress would be roped in to play the female lead opposite Ranveer Singh.
Sources now confirm that Bhansali has narrowed down on dimpled dame Deepika Padukone for the female lead in the film. It seems that Bhansali was keen to have an A-list actress play the part and had approached Katrina Kaif for the role, but as she was busy with other projects, Bhansali decided on roping in Padukone for the role.
A desi version of the famous tragic romance Romeo And Juliet, Ram Leela is set in Gujarat.

Merry go round continues for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's leading lady in his much cherished project Ram Leela. Just when it was felt that the search had ended with Priyanka Chopra, emergence of Deepika Padukone's name led to quite a few ripples. However the lady in question happens to be blissfully unaware of the developments.
"Deepika heard about the news only from the newspapers. She was surprised herself, more so because her hands are already full with films like Race 2, Kochadaiyaan and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Where are the dates", exclaims a friend of the actress.
This isn’t all as Deepika hasn't even received any feelers either. "She is yet to hear from Bhansali Sir's office", the friend continues.
When contacted, Deepika maintained a diplomatic stance. She said, "It would be every actor's dream to be working with Sanjayji. He presents his heroines so wonderfully in his films, whether it is Khamoshi', Black or Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Actresses too have looked their best and given strong performances. I have grown up watching his movies.
On being asked if she would be game for it in her hectic schedule if the film indeed falls in her lap, she said, "Of course yes, something would work out for sure. But as of now, no one has approached me and there is absolutely no progress."
The plot thickens!

After Kareena Kapoor ceased to be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gujarati version of Romeo And Juliet, there had been much speculation about which actress would be roped in to act opposite Ranveer Singh in Ram Leela and now sources claim that the filmmaker might have finally found his 'Juliet'.
If sources are to be believed, actress Richa Chadda, who made her Bollywood debut with Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye and gave a stellar performance in the gangland epic Gangs Of Wasseypur, has been approached to play the female lead in the film.
Meanwhile, it is being said that Deepika Padukone, who was recently seen in Cocktail is quite keen to act in the film and has been sending out feelers about her readiness to work with Bhansali. To add to the speculation, there are also reports that Bhansali himself is quite keen to rope in Priyanka Chopra for the film.
Well well…the plot does thicken, eh?

While the fog of mystery, that whether Kareena Kapoor opted out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's forthcoming project or whether it was the filmmaker's decision to look out for another actress for his Ram Leela, hasn't lifted yet, but one thing is final that the duo won't be working together in this project.
And now the latest buzz about the film is that the makers are looking for a new face to cast in the movie, which will feature Ranveer Singh as the male lead.
The film is inspired by William Shakespeare's popular tragic love story Romeo And Juliet and will be based in Gujarat.
Bhansali also plans to take Singh on a trip to Gujarat in order to make him familiar with the place.
Buzz also has it that Priyanka Chopra has also been approached for the role, however the makers have not made any comment on the report, yet.
