A few days back, poor Ranveer Singh had turned red with embarrassment when a Twitter impostor claimed that Salman Khan's latest flick Ek Tha Tiger was a bore!
May be in an attempt at some damage control, the YRF lad recently claimed that he is a big fan of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Not only this, Singh also revealed that he went with his friends to watch the first day first show of Ek Tha Tiger at a single screen theatre in suburban Juhu. The actor, who made his Bollywood debut with YRF flick Band Baaja Baaraat also expressed his displeasure at the media for reporting about the fake tweets without verifying if the Twitter account was genuine.
Singh, who made quite an impression with his debut flick, will be next seen in Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera and also in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela.
We had reported some days back that YRF boys and rumoured rivals Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh shall come together for a YRF flick, which will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan fame.
Now, sources claim that the film, titled Gunday, will have the two actors playing Kolkata based gangsters. It is being said that Singh and Kapoor will play small time gangsters from the 1970-1980 era, who rise to power and become black market mafia figures.
Ali Abbas confirmed the news but also added that the female lead has not been finalized as of now. Ranveer Singh, who made his debut with YRF flick Band Baaja Baaraat, will be next seen in Lootera and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela, whereas Arjun Kapoor, who played the role of thuggish political heir Parma Chauhan in Ishaqzaade, will be next seen in a double role in YRF film Aurangzeb, which is said to be a modern take on 70s blockbuster Trishul.
A day ago, it had been reported that YRF find Ranveer Singh had allegedly commented on social micro-blogging site Twitter that Salman Khan starrer Ek Tha Tiger is a boring film. However, it now seems that the tweet was not posted by Ranveer, but a impostor, which has left the actor fuming.
A spokesperson representing Singh said, "The information on a tweet being attributed to Ranveer Singh in some sections of the media about his comments on Ek Tha Tiger is completely incorrect and baseless. The tweet being referred to is of an impersonator and not of Ranveer. While Ranveer is on twitter and his twitter handle is @RanveerOfficial, he has never tweeted till date. His intention of being on twitter is to be able to interact with his friends and read what they are tweeting."
Ranveer Singh will be next seen in Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera opposite Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela opposite Deepika Padukone.

Wonder what a certan 'Tiger' Khan is planning to do about this now. Salman was seen playing the role of an undercover RAW agent in the Kabir Khan directed flick, in which he was romantically paired opposite Katrina Kaif.

Though Zafar did admit that Kapoor and Singh will be working together, he denied speculations about the movie being a love triangle revolving around two men falling for the same girl. The makers are yet to narrow down on a female lead for the film, which is expected to go on floors in mid-December.

Actor Ranveer Singh has confirmed that the shooting of Lootera, in which he stars opposite Sonakshi Sinha, has been wrapped up, and that he feels it will turn out to be a quality film.
The 27-year-old actor, who attended the screening of Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi on Thursday, said that he is thrilled with the way his film Lootera has turned out.
He added that his director Vikramaditya Motwane of Udaan fame has made a quality film and that he cannot wait for it to come out.
Lootera is set to release on March 29, 2013. Ranveer also cleared any doubts about his co-star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial next Ram Leela.
He confirmed that he is going to star opposite Deepika Padukone in the film.

Newbie actor Ranveer Singh has won hearts with his very first film Band Baaja Baaraat and the Bandra boy, who will be next seen in Lootera opposite Sonakshi Sinha, is soon going to team up with director Shaad Ali (of Saathiya fame) for a breezy romantic film named Kill Dil.
Sources claim that Shaad Ali, whose 2007 film Jhoom Barabar Jhoom did not fare well at the box office, is gearing up to come back with a big bang with the film. Confirming the news, Shaad was quoted saying that Kill Dil is a film about the tricks that the heart plays on an unsuspecting victim of love. Apart from Ranveer, the film will have another male lead and a female lead, though the rest of the cast is not finalized yet.
Apart from Kill Dil, Shaad also plans to make a film based on the life of his grandmother Lakshmi Sahgal, a legendary freedom fighter and activist.
Actor Arif Zakaria will be playing Ranveer Singh's mentor in Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera. Arif was recently quoted saying that this film will prove to be a game changer for the two-film-old Ranveer.
Ranveer, who has so far acted in Band Baaja Baaraat and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, will be seen in a completely different avatar in the film.

It is being said that Peekay is a two-hero project and initially, the makers were quite keen to rope in Ranbir Kapoor to play the other hero. However, when the Barfi! boy declined the offer due to his reluctance to work in two hero projects, the makers thought that Ranveer Singh might be the perfect actor to be cast for the role.
If Singh chooses to accept the role, he will be teaming up once again with Anushka Sharma, who he has worked with in Band Baajaa Baaraat and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl.

Although Ranveer was dressed in a Gujarati costume to hide his identity, onlookers recognized him and mobbed him for autographs. Sanjay and Ranveer had to leave the show midway to avoid the situation.
The actor-director duo had gone to Bhuj to prepare for Ram Leela, which is a love story set in Gujarat. Bhansali wanted Ranveer to get an idea about the Gujarati people and their lifestyle.
