A few days back, poor Ranveer Singh had turned red with embarrassment when a Twitter impostor claimed that Salman Khan's latest flick Ek Tha Tiger was a bore!
May be in an attempt at some damage control, the YRF lad recently claimed that he is a big fan of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Not only this, Singh also revealed that he went with his friends to watch the first day first show of Ek Tha Tiger at a single screen theatre in suburban Juhu. The actor, who made his Bollywood debut with YRF flick Band Baaja Baaraat also expressed his displeasure at the media for reporting about the fake tweets without verifying if the Twitter account was genuine.
Singh, who made quite an impression with his debut flick, will be next seen in Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera and also in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela.

Before all you readers out there start speculating that Bollywood brat Salman Khan has got in trouble with the law, let us assure you that nothing could be further from the truth. What we are talking about here is the actor's denial to have a biography written about him.
Sources claim that a few days back, when Salman was in a meeting with some writers, they suggested that a book should be written on Salman's life. However, our 'Tiger' immediately shot down the idea as sources close to him claim that the actor doesn't want the details of his life to be open to all.
Salman, who was last seen playing the role of a RAW agent in Kabir Khan's Ek Tha Tiger, will be next seen reprising his role as Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg 2.

Filmmaker Karan Johar might be best pals with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, but that did not stop KJo, as he is fondly known, from gushing about SRK's arch rival Salman Khan in a press conference related to Johar's upcoming film Student Of The Year.
It seems that Salman recently declared that Student Of The Year would be a bigger hit than Ek Tha Tiger and an elated Karan said, "I was very, very touched by what Salman said. He is one of the nicest guys in the film industry and has a large heart. He is also one of the actors who doesn't have a competitive streak and is always ready to support new and fresh talent. His support means a lot to me and my film team!" We can't help but wonder what the King Khan has to say about this now...dost dost na raha..?
Student Of The Year, which is directed by Johar, stars newcomers Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan.

Arbaaz Khan was in for a rude surprise when he woke up to the 'news' making rounds about Dabangg 2 getting pushed to March next year. The delay was attributed to the film's shooting still being on as 40% of it is still remaining. It was also being stated that after Salman Khan and Aamir Khan deliberated on these changes, it was also decided that Talaash would now push ahead. This means that instead of its originally planned 30th November release, the film was now supposed to occupy Aamir's favourite Christmas slot by arriving on 21st December, the slot left vacant now due to (apparent) moving ahead of Dabangg 2.
"This is bizarre", says Arbaaz in a defiant role, "There is no change in plan and we are arriving as scheduled on 21st December. There is no delay in the film schedule's either and we are on track. Yes, 40% of the film's shoot is left but we have dates already allocated for that. In fact we resume the film's shoot in a week from now."
He is particularly surprised that Aamir's Talaash came into the picture as well.
"I have no idea who is gossip monger behind this. May be some idle mind is just playing mischief. We are on target and anything and everything else that you hearing are plain rumours. 21st December is final for Dabangg 2", he states.
Guess that should set the record straight.

Director Shirish Kunder, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Joker, seems to have fresh trouble on his plate now!
There were already rumours that actor Akshay Kumar is not happy with the way Joker has turned out and it seems that Salman Khan, who was supposed to star in Kunder's next film Kick, is not too happy with the script of the film. Confirming the news, producer Sajid Nadiadwala was quoted saying that a few dialogues are being changed and a 'little shuffling here and there' is taking place, because of which, the film will go on floors next year. Nadiadwala also added that they are still looking for some actress to play the female lead.
Meanwhile, Kunder's sci-fi adventure Joker, which stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, is slated to release this weekend.

Salman Khan, who loses his cool quite often, has apparently given some anger management tips to Dharmendra. The veteran actor, who is regularly plagued by the media about his personal life, lost his temper during his elder daughter, Esha Deol's, wedding, in the recent past.
The 76-year-old actor got mighty upset, when media quizzed him about the absence of his two son's Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol, at the wedding. However, now Salman Khan has given a useful advice to the 'He-Man of Bollywood'. Khan, who is riding high on the success of his recent release Ek Tha Tiger, has reportedly asked the veteran actor to not entertain the media and ignore them.
The Padma Bhushan recipient was last seen on-screen in Hema Malini's film Tell Me O Kkhuda and will next be seen in the sequel to his 2011 release Yamla Pagla Deewana.

Salman Khan, who had worked with masala director David Dhawan in the 2007 film Partner, subsequently had a fall out with Dhawan during the release of the film, following which the two were not on talking terms.
However, now that Dhawan is planning a sequel to Partner and needs Salman Khan back in the game, so to speak, it seems that the director is planning to approach Sohail Khan to mediate between the two and convince Sallu to let bygones be bygones. A source attached to the film was quoted saying that work on the sequel has already begun but as Salman has refused to work with Dhawan, the latter will take Sohail's help to broker peace between the two.
A desi remake of Will Smith starrer Hitch, the Salman-Katrina Kaif-Govinda starrer Partner was about a date guru who helps a bumbling buffoon win over the object of his affection.

Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger has set yet another record! The film has crossed the 200 crore mark, that too in just 12 days. The movie has collected more than Rs. 210 cr, in domestic and overseas Box Office. In India it has crossed 175 crore, according to trade analysts.
And this is not the only record clenched by the blockbuster. ETT is also India's biggest opener yet, as it garnered a whopping sum of Rs. 32 crores on the very first day of its release. The YRF flick also became the fastest 100 crore grosser, by crossing the 100 crore mark in just five days. Presently the movie is only behind Aamir Khan's 2009 release 3 Idiots, which is still Bollywood's top earning movie, with a collection of 202 crores, in India.
Ek Tha Tiger revolves around a RAW agent codenamed Tiger, played by Salman Khan and his lady love Zoya, essayed by Katrina Kaif. Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie released on August 15, 2012.

A day ago, it had bene reported that filmmaker Subhash Ghai had met Bollywood brat Salman Khan at the latter's residence in suburban Bandra for an Eid bash, where the two discussed a film, which the latter refused to act in.
However, Subhash Ghai recently rubbished the reports and claimed that he did not meet Salman at all on the day mentioned in the news report. Ghai was quoted saying that though he had met Salman on August 15 for the screening of Khan's spy flick Ek Tha Tiger, he did not meet him later on Eid to discuss the concept of any story with him. Ghai also added that he has been in Bangalore since August 17 to work on his next film.
Salman Khan, who was last seen playing an undercover RAW agent in Ek Tha Tiger will be next seen in Dabangg 2, where he will reprise his role as Inspector Chulbul Pandey opposite Sonakshi Sinha, who will play his wife Rajjo.

Salman Khan and director Subhash Ghai had teamed up for Yuvvraaj a few years back and the failure of the movie seems to have left a bitter taste in the former's mouth.
It seems that Salman, who had invited many celebrities, including Subhash Ghai, to his residence for an Eid bash a few days back, had a conversation with the 'Showman', which left the latter disappointed. Sources claim that at the bash, Ghai narrated a story to Salman and expressed his desire that the 'Tiger' play the male lead in the flick, which is supposed to be a romance.
However, after hearing him out, Salman politely refused the role, claiming that he had other commitments to take care of…and as we all know, ek baar jo Salman ne commitment kar di…
Salman, who was last seen in Kabir Khan's spy flick Ek Tha Tiger, will be next seen in Dabangg 2, Sher Khan and Kick.

Salman Khan's recent box-office record has been phenomenal, to say the least. Buzz is that there is a queue of filmmakers waiting for Salman's nod to sign him for their upcoming films.
Apparently, producer Ramesh Taurani has offered Salman a mind-boggling sum of Rs. 100 crore to sign him for his next film. If the deal goes through, Salman will become the highest paid actor in Bollywood.
A source was quoted saying that since Ek Tha Tiger has opened to whopping numbers, a lot of filmmakers have been approaching Salman for films. However, Taurani, who has worked with Salman before, is very keen to make a film with the actor.
Taurani is aware of the fact that Salman's last three films have done business of close to Rs. 150 crore and that's why he is ready to shell out such a huge amount.
Although Taurani confirms that he has signed Salman, he has denied the figure. He was quoted saying that Salman has signed a film with him, which will go on floors in 2013.
Salman Khan's last three films Dabangg, Ready and Bodyguard have all done business of 100 crore and the latest entrant to the list is the recently released Ek Tha Tiger.

Fans of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who were hoping to see their Dabangg hero in another action packed avatar with Sher Khan, are sure to groan in disappointment at this piece of news.
It seems that Salman, who is yet to recuperate completely from his health issues, has asked brother Sohail Khan, who is also the director of Sher Khan to transform the film from an action packed fare to a romantic film. The reason, according to sources, is because Salman does not want to indulge in many high octane action sequences because of his health issues. What this means is that instead of bashing up bad guys, Salman will be more seen romancing his lady love in the film.
Meanwhile, Salman, who was last seen playing an undercover RAW agent in Ek Tha Tiger, will be seen reprising his role as the roguishly charming cop Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg 2, where he will be once again paired opposite Sonakshi Sinha.

It was always on the cards that the Bodyguard record would be comfortably surpassed by Ek Tha Tiger. However the speed at which it has happened for this Kabir Khan directed film is clearly mind boggling. Even though the film has opened extraordinarily well, one waited to see how the film would perform after the euphoria settled down. However as has turned out to be the case, the film has sustained extremely well, and how.
This Salman Khan starrer has turned out to be the first film to record over 10 crores in each of its first eight days, something that hasn't ever happened before. With its entire extended week of 9 days bringing in very good moolah, the film has now crossed the 150 crore mark by a good margin.
The feat is special for number of reasons. First and foremost this Yash Raj production is now the second biggest grosser of all times, hence being next only to 3 Idiots (202 crores). Secondly, the speed with which this number has been achieved is now a standard that has been set for films to come. Thirdly, and very importantly, it now sets very high target for Dabangg 2 which had made over 140 crores two years back. Given the current standing of Salman, the business that Bollywood is enjoying today and the fact that it is a sequel to a much loved film means that Dabangg 2 would most definitely end 2012 on a high.
The film should do well in second week as well and though the percentage drop from first week would be seemingly high, one has to consider the fact that 150 crores plus in 9 days is no mean feat. Still, a second week of around 35 crore is a possibility which means the film would be ~190 crore by the time Joker releases. Post that it would be a close watch to see the 200 crore mark being reached, something which cannot be ruled out now.

Actor Emraan Hashmi feels it is a huge responsibility to be compared to a superstar like Salman Khan. Emraan, who has garnered accolades for his roles in films such as The Dirty Picture, Jannat 2 and Shanghai, is being considered an actor of the masses just like Salman, who also is a darling of the audiences with blockbusters such as Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger.
Hashmi is grateful to his fans and followers for showering so much love and adulation on him. However, he believes that there are certain pros and cons to being in such a position.
He says that he has just started his career and that it is unfair to compare him to Salman, who is such a huge star. However, he adds that he feels honoured when his name is taken in the same breath as the Dabangg actor's.
The actor is next going to be seen in Raaz 3 opposite Esha Gupta and Bipasha Basu.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif might not be together anymore, but it is quite evident that the 'Tiger' is still quite fond of his 'Kat'.
However, when the two actors appeared on a dance reality show to promote their latest release Ek Tha Tiger, it seems that Khan got slightly upset with Katrina. The reason- the pretty actress insisted that Sallu perform to a dance track from Hum Aapke Hain Koun with Madhuri Dixit, a film in which they were romantically paired opposite each other. However, Sallu was not in the mood to shake a leg but after Kaif put her foot down while on the show, Salman had to oblige.
Sources claim that after the show, when the two stars went back to their vanity vans, Salman scolded Kaif for making him 'dance to her tunes', so to say…
Salman and Katrina were seen paired opposite each other in Kabir Khan helmed Ek Tha Tiger, which released on August 15 and already crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark within a week!

Salman Khan has proved yet again that he is the leader of the 100 crore club, in Bollywood. Salman's latest release 'Ek Tha Tiger', has broken all box-office records in India, by garnering a whopping sum of Rs.100.16 crore nett in just five days.
'Ek Tha Tiger' has become the fastest 100 crore grosser and this is not the only record
that the movie has set. The film collected a sum of Rs.32 crore on its opening day and broke the record of the highest first day collection, which was earlier held by Karan Johar's 2012 release 'Agneepath' (22 crores). It is also Yash Raj Films' first project, which has crossed the 100 crore mark.
The film revolves around a RAW agent codenamed Tiger, played by Salman Khan and his lady love Zoya, essayed by Katrina Kaif. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film released on August 15, 2012.
With four centuries to his credit, it seems that Salmania is not going to end, anytime soon.

A few days back, it had been reported that Salman Khan had claimed to be open to the idea of acting in a prequel as well as a sequel to his latest release 'Ek Tha Tiger', based on the response received at the box office.
However, despite the fact that the movie was received with open arms by the audience, it seems that neither producers YRF nor director Kabir Khan seem to be having any plans for a sequel yet. In a recent interview, Kabir Khan was quoted saying that they don't have a storyline for taking the movie forward in a sequel.
The spy flick, which also starred Katrina Kaif, managed to rake in a whopping sum of Rs. 32 crores on the first day of its release itself. The film, which released on August 15, was much appreciated for its slick action sequences and cinematography, not to mention Salman's inimitable screen presence.

Salman Khan has ben one Bollywood star who has most often than not courted some or the other controversy over the years. However, the Dabangg star claims that situations in Bollywood corrupted his innocence.
At a recent event for a radio show, Sallu was overheard saying that he had been very innocent during his Maine Pyar Kiya days but he has changed over the years in ways that he is not always proud of. Salman further added that the situations in Bollywood have corrupted him, because of which, he is no longer the 'innocent Salman' he once was…
Salman Khan's recent release was the Kabir Khan directed spy flick Ek Tha Tiger, in which Salman was seen playing the role of a RAW agent, who goes on a mission to spy on an Indian scientist and ends up falling in love with a mysterious girl, played by Katrina Kaif.

Poor Katrina Kaif probably had no idea about the media storm that she would provoke after being spotted with a red sindoor on her forehead and Bollywood brat Salman Khan had to step in to pat her back when the lissome lass broke down recently after rumours of her secret marriage started doing the rounds.
It seems that on the day Ek Tha Tiger released, Katrina Kaif had attended a pooja at her business manager's home and on coming out with Salman, when the media saw a red mark on her forehead (which was a result of the tikka applied during the pooja), the media went in an overdrive, suggesting that someone has finally managed to 'bell the Kat', so to say. Needless to say, this made Katrina break down and former flame Salman Khan had to step in and console her after the Ek Tha Tiger screening at Yash Raj Films Studios.
Directed by Kabir Khan, Ek Tha Tiger, which released on August 15 in India, is a thriller love story about a RAW agent, who goes on an undercover mission to spy on an Indian scientist suspected of selling defence secrets and ends up falling in love with a girl with a dark secret.

Actor-filmmaker Sohail Khan is overjoyed at the stupendous opening of Ek Tha Tiger and says that it's the best Eidi, Salman Khan's fans could give him.
Sohail was quoted saying that it's the happiest feeling anyone can have. Sohail adds that he has seen the film and finds it superb. According to him, it's the best Eidi that Salman Khan's fans could give him.
According to the latest reports, Ek Tha Tiger has done a whopping business of 32.95 crore rupees in India alone on the opening day, breaking the record set by Agneepath that collected 25 crore rupees on the 1st day.
Sohail also added that the film's success is a proof that Salman is a true tiger.
