On one hand, where media publications and even director Anurag Kashyap and his team have declared that Anushka Sharma has been signed on to play the female lead opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Kashyap's ambitious project Bombay Velvet, the Band Baaja Baaraat actress claims that she has not signed the film yet!
A few days back, when asked about the film, Anushka was quoted saying that she has not signed the film and as such, she cannot comment on it until she signs the dotted line. Incidentally, when Kashyap was recently asked about who is the female lead for 'Bombay Velvet', he again said that Anushka Sharma is the actress in the film.
Meanwhile, Anurag Kashyap's recent two movies, viz the Gangs Of Wasseypur and Gangs of Wasseypur II turned out to be majorly successful and won him acclaim. On the other hand, Anushka Sharma will be next seen alongwith Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in Yash Chopra's Untitled flick, in which Khan will be making a comeback as a romantic hero
Director Milan Luthria is looking for an actress to cast opposite Saif Ali Khan in his upcoming film. Apparently, Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Sharma are the top two contenders to clinch the role.
This Milan's first production and he wants to keep his cards close to his chest. Bhushan Kumar, who is also co-producing the film, is also keeping the project well-guarded.
The film is set to go on floors early next year. Milan Luthria is already working with Sonakshi Sinha in the sequel to Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, where she is cast opposite Imran Khan.
