Ek Tha Tiger director Kabir Khan considers his wife, TV anchor Mini Mathur, to be his greatest critic.

The director was recently quoted saying that his wife is his conscious sounding board and that she is the first person to see the script and see the film and if there is something that she has not liked, she will clearly tell him on his face.

He further added he would never direct Mini, who is currently hosting a singing reality show on television, for a film. He stated that Mini has decided not to act in films, except if it is for a friend.

Kabir, who has directed Kabul Express and New York in the past, is gearing up for the release of his third film Ek Tha Tiger, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.

Director Kabir Khan is optimistic that his directorial next Ek Tha Tiger will be cleared by Pakistan's censor board. Buzz was that the film would be banned in Pakistan after the trailers were not allowed to screen on satellite television.

Since, the film is about at Indian RAW agent, it was assumed that the film was anti-Pakistan. However, the director of the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer maintains that this is not true. He was recently quoted saying in an interview that the film doesn't have any derogatory references to Pakistan and that he's quite sure that the film will get a release if it's passed by the censor board.

The reasons why Kabir thinks that the film should get a release is that Salman has a huge fan following in Pakistan and that it is releasing during the Eid week.

Kabir Khan, whose upcoming spy flick Ek Tha Tiger stars former flames Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, recently confirmed rumours about Sallu interfering with the filmmaking process while on the sets of the film.

Kabir Khan was quoted saying that there were teething issues between the two Khans with regards to issues about how certain scenes and characters should be worked out. Khan also added that Salman was quite involved in Katrina Kaif's costumes and on one occasion, they had a tiff over Katrina's costumes as Salman was not happy with the way it was styled.

Salman Khan will be seen playing the role of a RAW undercover spy in Ek Tha Tiger, which releases on August 15 this year.

Director Kabir Khan, who made Kabul Express, New York and upcoming Ek Tha Tiger for Yash Raj Films, has now finally decided to step out of the camp and make a movie for Sajid Nadiadwala, which might star Hrithik Roshan.

Sources claim that now that Khan's three films deal with YRF is getting over, he has been signed up by Sajid Nadiadwala for a film. It seems that Hrithik, who was last seen playing the iconic character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan in Agneepath has already committed to Nadiadwala and the film will be announced after Ek Tha Tiger releases in Eid this year.

Khan's next film Ek Tha Tiger stars former flames Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif and deals with the adventures of an undercover RAW spy code-named Tiger (played by Salman).

A few days back, there had been media reports that Kabir Khan's upcoming film Ek Tha Tiger starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif had been banned in Pakistan because of the references to Pakistan's secret intelligence agency ISI in the film.

However, Kabir Khan recently rubbished such rumours and clarified that there is no official ban as such on the movie in Pakistan. Khan was quoted saying that the authorities over there are taking preacutions as Indian films have shown Pakistan in a bad light in the past and as such, they are holding it back due to political reasons. Khan added that they have to just issue a NOC (No Objection Certificate) for the movie to be shown there.

In the past, Saif Ali Khan starrer Agent Vinod too faced similar issues as there were references to ISI in the spy flick.

Director Kabir Khan is disappointed that the promos of his upcoming film Ek Tha Tiger have been banned in Pakistan. The reason for which the call for the ban was that the film portrayed Pakistan's country's intelligence agency (ISI) in poor light.

Kabir tweeted, "I will say it once more... Ek Tha Tiger is NOT anti-Pakistan....In this day and age; it's stupid to make films that are insensitive or derogatory to any country or community."

"This is the price we have to pay because unfortunately our industry has made insensitive and jingoistic films in the past," he added.

"I am absolutely sure that once the censor board of Pakistan sees? #EkThaTiger... they will be more than happy to show the film in Pakistan," he wrote.

"I can assure the millions of fans of Salman in Pakistan that ?#EkThaTiger will release in theatres in their country," Kabir assured.

The director has so far, made issue-based films such as Kabul Express and New York.

Ek Tha Tiger, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, is set to release on August 15.
