If you thought actor Vidyut Jammwal, who played the baddie in Force was just a silver screen tough guy, this piece of news is sure to change your mind.
It seems that the martial artist turned actor recently took by surprise two burglars, who had broken into his suburban Andheri house. Not only this, when the poor chaps tried to assault him, Vidyut unleashed his martial arts skills and overpowered them before informing the police and having them arrested!
Vidyut made his Bollywood debut by playing the role of the vicious Vishnu in Nishikant Kamat's Force, which starred John Abraham in the lead role and Vidyut was praised for his screen presence and looks by one and all. The actor is also quite active in the South film industry and is expected to be seen playing the lead role in a Bollywood film soon.
Actors John Abraham and Vidyut Jammwal matched each other muscle for muscle in cop drama Force and now, it seems that the two hunks will be pitted against each other once again for a flick to be made on martial arts.
It seems that Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra, who collaborated with Sanjay Dutt for action reality show Super Fight League, is planning to produce a film on MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and wants Abraham and Jammwal to act in the movie. Kundra also added that he himself will be seen in a cameo alongwith Sanjay Dutt in the film. Incidentally, Sanjay Dutt had revealed in an interview that he was the first Bollywood actor to undergo training in martial arts before joining the film industry.
The film, which is untitled as of now, is expected to go on floors in January 2013.
After giving stiff competition to Bollywood hunk John Abraham in cop drama Force, it seems that Vidyut Jammwal, who played the role of the antagonist Vishnu, will be gearing up to take on John's Desi Boyz co-star Akshay Kumar.
Sources claim that director A. R. Murugadoss (of Ghajini fame) will be directing a Tamil action flick named Thuppakki starring South actor Vijay and Vidyut Jammwal and will be roping in Akshay Kumar for the Hindi version of the film. It seems that except for Vijay, all the characters in the Tamil flick will be retained in the Hindi version and Jamwal, who plays the villain in the Tamil movie, will be pitted against the Khiladi in the Hindi movie.
We bet fans of action movies are already getting excited to see these two martial artists turned actors take on each other on the big screen. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar, who made a comeback to the action genre with Rowdy Rathore, will be next seen in Shirish Kunder's Joker.
