Kareena Kapoor, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Heroine, claims that eighty percent of the film's story is reality. The flick is helmed by realistic filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who has explored the reality behind various professions in his previous films. In Heroine the director will unmask the inside picture of the film industry.
Kapoor, the leading lady of the film, states that the movie is eighty percent based on reality. She claims that after watching the film people will know, what happens in the personal life of actresses.
Though Kareena was Madhur's first choice for the movie, she declined his offer and the film went to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. However, when the former Miss World declared that she was pregnant, she was dropped from the project and Kareena was roped in.
The 31-year-old actress says that she is glad that the film finally came to her, as she too wanted to work with Bhandarkar, eversince she watched Chandni Bar. Bebo further added, that no one in the industry has done such a role before and also that the movie is Madhur's best film up till now.
Heroine stars Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda alongside Kareena and is slated to release on September 21, this year.

Saif Ali Khan's production company will launch Kareena Kapoor's cousin Armaan Jain, who is in his early 20s, in their next film.
Armaan is the son of Reema Jain, Randhir Kapoor's youngest sister, and Manoj Jain. Reema Jain is very close to her nieces Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor.
Armaan has assisted director Shakun Batra for his film Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. Armaan has always wanted to act once he finished his stint as an assistant director.
Apparently, acting opposite Armaan will be Athiya Shetty, Suniel Shetty's daughter, who has studied in a film school in the US. Athiya is being considered for the leading role in a film by Saif's office. Although, there has been no official confirmation, it looks like another member from the Kapoor family is set to make a big mark.

Actress Kareena Kapoor and director Madhur Bhandarkar, who are teaming up for the latter's magnum opus Heroine, must be grinning from ear to ear today.
It seems that a song from the film titled Halkat jawani, which is featured on Kareena Kapoor, has crossed one million online hits! What is surprising that the song was released just 10 days back and has already become quite the rage across the industry, with one and all raving about the music and Kareena's look in the film.
Apart from Kareena, the movie also stars Randeep Hooda and Arjun Rampal and revolves around the story of an actress and her rise to stardom and subsequent downfall.

Director Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Heroine' revolves around ups and downs in an actress' career. The film, starring Kareena Kapoor, Randeep Hooda and Arjun Rampal, is set to release on September 21.

Director Madhur Bhandarkar, who is usually known to be a very private person, celebrated his birthday with much aplomb yesterday.
On Sunday, while dubbing for the upcoming film Heroine, actress Kareena Kapoor surprised Madhur with a birthday cake and gathered the entire crew of the film.
Madhur, pleasantly surprised, said, "I am either working or out on a family trip on my birthday. It was very sweet of Bebo to give me this birthday surprise."
The most interesting thing to note was that on the very first day of the shoot of the film, it was Arjun Rampal's birthday, then Madhur's birthday on Sunday and the movie is set to release on Kareena Kapoor's birthday.
Quite co-incidental for the team of Heroine! The film is set to release on September 21.

Cousins Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor will share the stage on the popular singing reality show Indian Idol 6 to promote their respective films, Heroine and Barfi!.
Sources claim that Kareena and Ranbir will be coming together for the grand finale of Indian Idol 6 on August 31.
While Kareena plays the role of a superstar Mahi in Madhur Bhandarkar's film Heroine, Ranbir essays the role of Murphy, whom everyone calls Barfi.
Ranbir's character is that of a prankster, who charms one and all even though he is deaf and mute. Actress Priyanka Chopra plays an autistic character, Jhilmil, in the film.
Buzz was that the two cousins were set to star together for the first time on silver screen in Zoya Akhtar's film. It would be great to see how the Kapoor siblings, both superstars in their own right, bond on the sets of the reality show.

Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan were romantically paired opposite each others in movies like Yaadein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, and now it seems that filmmaker Karan Johar is planning to bring them back for a big project, which will be directed by Karan Malhotra.
It seems that Karan Johar and Kareena are close friends and when Johar approached Kareena for the film, she readily agreed to be a part of the project. Johar is planning to rope in Hrithik as the male lead as their romantic pairing has been much appreciated in the aforementioned films.
Kareena Kapoor will be next seen in Madhur Bhandarkar's magnum opus Heroine, which revolves around the success and eventual downfall of an actress whereas Hrithik will be seen reprising his role as masked super-hero Krrish Mehra in Rakesh Roshan's Krrish 3.

Ever since lovebirds Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor announced that they would marry each other, there has been speculations galore about the venue and date of the wedding, with every source coming up with new information at regular intervals.
However, now it seems that the two have been told by Saif's mum Sharmila Tagore to stick to October 16, 2012 as the wedding date and not delay it further. Recently, there had been reports that Bebo, as she is popularly known, might delay the October date too as she is busy with film projects but now, it seems that the actress will be the obedient 'bahu' as Sharmila has put her foot down about not wanting any more delays. It is being said that Sharmila has started the necessary arrangements about organizing the guest list and other details.
Kareena Kapoor will be next seen in Madhur Bhandarkar's magnum opus 'Heroine', where she will star opposite Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda.

Just when it had started seeming that Bollywood had learnt its ways and spacing out films better, there is an explosion all set to happen. Come 5th October and as many as five films would release on the same day. This also means that Kareena Kapoor would now have a clean arrival on 21st September.
Confirms a trade source, "Yes, Sridevi's English Vinglish and Preity Zinta's Ishkq In Paris, both of which were supposed to clash with Heroine have been moved ahead. Now Aftab Shivdasani's 1920 - Evil Returns is all set to release on 5th October. These films are in addition to two Vivek Oberoi starrers Jayanta Bhai Ki Luv Story and Kismet Love Paisa Dilli which are anyways fighting it out amongst themselves."
Though there have been instances when 4-5 films released on the same day, more often than not only one, or maximum two such films were notable while rest were mainly filler releases. However most of the aforementioned films have reputed names which means such clash would be first of it's kinds.
As of now, none of the filmmakers are willing to budge from their stand. When contacted, Kumar Taurani (Jayanta Bhai Ki Luv Story), Amit Chandra (Kismet Love Paisa Dilli) and Vikram Bhatt (1920 - Evil Returns) made the same statement which read, "We are not changing plans for the film. 5th October is final."
On the other hand Preity Zinta too confirms that her Ishq In Paris would be arriving on the same day. In fact promo of her film is all set to be launched on 9th August. Ditto for English Vinglish where the makers have re-emphasized that there won't be any change in plans.
The source adds, "It is impossible though that there would be such deadly five way clash. At least 2-3 films would have to be moved ahead. However the film that would gain most is Heroine as there would be no competition whatsoever for it now."
No wonder, Kareena and Madhur Bhandarkar can be seen smiling ear to ear.

All those who have seen the promos of Madhur Bhandarkar's magnum opus Heroine will not have missed a scene in which Kareena Kapoor's character exclaims in a press conference that if any actress goes to Dubai, the media will create a 'rate card' for her.
Now, it seems that this statement has not gone down well with audiences in Dubai, who found the reference quite offensive and considering the sensibilities of the viewers there, the makers have decided to take preventive action by tweaking the dialogue and presenting a modified version of the film for UAE as Dubai is a big market for them and they don't want to offend their viewers there.
Starring Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda, Heroine revolves around the story of an A-list actress and her successes and downfall.

The first look promo of acclaimed director Madhur Bhandarkar's magnum opus Heroine starring Kareena Kapoor, was unveiled on July 25 and it seems to have already been a hit with the masses.
Sources claim that the online promo has already bagged a viewership of 2 millions since the past few days! A visibly excited Madhur Bhandarkar said, "I am overwhelmed by the great response the promo has got. This is just the beginning."
Apart from Kareena Kapoor, the film also stars Randeep Hooda and Arjun Rampal and is supposed to be the story of the rise and subsequent fall of a leading actress named Mahi, played by Kareena.

Kareena Kapoor, who is gearing up for the release of her forthcoming film Heroine, has reportedly taken jibes at Katrina Kaif in her upcoming movie.
If sources are to be believed then there is a scene in Madhur Bhandarkar's next, where Kareena will be seen speaking to a journalist about another actress. Reportedly, Kareena has made a comment on the actress (in the movie), that she is a success only because of her boyfriend, who himself is a big star.
Buzz has it that this is aimed at Kaif, who's been linked to Salman Khan in the past. The implication becomes more apparent as Kapoor further asks the journalist to check the actresses' passport to know her real name and nationality.
Mediavines suggest that the girl who plays the part of the actress, also bears resemblance to Katrina. We wonder what Salman and Katrina have to say on this.

Sudhir Mishra was planning to make Dhruv starring Farhan Akhtar, Kareena Kapoor and Chitrangda Singh, way back in 2009. However, owing to the date problems of his cast, the film never went on floors.
However, looks like Sudhir is planning to revive the film.
He was recently quoted saying that he is re-working the script and that the shooting will take place after Mehrunissa is completed.

Actress Kareena Kapoor has made her intentions very clear. She does not intend to give up her position for anyone else in the industry and claims that she will continue to act till she turns 90.
In Madhur Bhandarkar's film Heroine, Kareena will be seen playing a superstar. At the launch of the theatrical trailer of the film, Kareena was asked if she fears that there will be a time when she won't get roles. Kareena said, "I haven't thought of it as yet. And obviously I wish and hope that. I think I will be like Zohra Sehgal who would be working till 90...so tough luck. I am not going to give my place to anyone."

After her critically acclaimed and commercially successful film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar is working on her next script wherein she is planning to cast real-life cousins Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor as brother-sister.
The film is reportedly an autobiographical one, based on the lives of Zoya Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar.
A source was quoted saying that although the film is not a blow-by-blow account of Farhan and Zoya's growing up years, it is a sensitive story based on siblings.

Recently, Heroine director Madhur Bhandarkar had posted a picture of his leading lady Kareena Kapoor, smoking a cigarette, on Twitter. That was of course, one of the stills of his upcoming film.
However, it looks like you may not get to see that particular scene in the theatrical trailer.
The censor board has not allowed the shots showing her smoke to be featured in the trailer.
Even in the film, set to release in September, all the scenes showing Kareena blowing smoke in air would be blurred out.
As for trailers scenes showing smoking stand banned.
J.P. Singh, CBFC's Regional Officer was quoted saying that the board had taken a decision some time back to not show smoking in the trailers. He added that this step was taken as they cannot have a disclaimer about smoking for a trailer.

Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming film Heroine starring Kareena Kapoor has been in the news ever since it went on floors. Now it seems that the makers have cut three different trailers for the film. The reason for this is that the content of all the promos will be edited as per the markets they are meant for.
Hence, certain dialogues will be changed for the 'U/A' trailer and the lovemaking scenes will also be trimmed down. However, the original trailer that will be released online will remain unedited.
Heroine, also starring Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda and Shahana Goswami, is set to release on September 21.
