It had been reported a few months back that actor Govinda and director Pahlaj Nihalani would be teaming up for Avatar, a film revolving around sports and the impact it has on youth and now it seems that Bollywood strongman Sunny Deol too has agreed to be a part of the film.
Confirming the news, Pahlaj was quoted saying that he was very keen on having Sunny Deol in the film and that the latter did not even ask about the role. Sources claim that Sunny will be seen playing the role of a sports coach in the movie. The film reportedly revolves around a bunch of rowdy college kids and how they are transformed and motivated through football.
Incidentally, this will be first time and Sunny and Govinda will be seen together in a movie, because though the two actors started their Bollywood careers a few decades back, they had not worked together throughout the years till now…

'Like father, like son', goes the popular adage and Bollywood macho man Sunny Deol is all set to prove this true with his upcoming film Singh Saheb The Great, in which he plays the role of a Collector.
Sources claim that director and good friend Anil Sharma has asked writer Shaktiman to model Sunny Deol's character in the film on the lines of roles played by Dharmendra in films like Satyakam and Jeevan Mrityu, in which Dharmendra was seen playing characters who are honest but get entrapped in a world of corruption.
Sunny Deol's other projects include Sangeeth Sivan's Yamla Pagla Deewana Sequel and Neeraj Pathak's Bhaiyyaji Superhit.

They formed an adorable jodi in the Munnabhai series. However with no signs of 'Munnabhai 3' really going on floors soon, both Sanjay Dutt as well as Arshad Warsi have moved on. Though they occasionally come together for a Double Dhamaal, one does miss the Munnabhai-Circuit camaraderie that has been the hallmark of Rajkumar Hirani films.
However Arshad is in mood to form a new jodi with another senior actor, what with Bhaiyyaji Superhitt bringing him together with Sunny Deol. While the bhaigiri with Sanjay Dutt is now the story of the past, it is some bhaiyaaji magic that Arshad plans to unfold now.
Says Neeraj Pathak, director of Bhaiyyaji Superhitt, for whom Arshad was always the first choice to play a director in the film, "I was so very convinced that Arshad was the only actor who could play this role. It is a tailor-made role for him and when you would see the movie, you would realise that."
A mini schedule of the film has already been completed and the director is happy with what has been done so far.
"Even though Arshad and I haven't worked together, we share a great equation. The moment I narrated the script to him and he realised that there were some excellent sequences that he would share with Sunny, he was on. I could sense his excitement because here was the promise of this new jodi in the making", he says.
Also starring Ameesha Patel with expectation of Preity Zinta joining the cast soon, Bhaiyyaji Superhitt would release early next year.
