Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur's science fiction film Mr. India was one of the biggest hits of its times and it seems that the Anil Kapoor-Sridevi starrer flick is being re-released in a 3D format, which has immensely impressed Kapur, who saw some portions of the new format.
Taking to Twitter, Shekhar Kapur wrote, "Saw some 3D test shots of Mr.India for release in 3D. They looked amazing." Incidentally, apart from re-releasing the film in 3D version, a sequel to the movie is also being planned, claim sources. The sequel, which is being planned by Boney Kapoor, will see Anil Kapoor and Sridevi reprising their roles as Arun and Seema respectively whereas Salman Khan will reportedly play the negative character in the film, a role that was played by the late Amrish Puri in the original.
The original Mr. India revolved around the story of a do-gooder, played by Anil Kapoor, who manages to find a scientific device that can turn him invisible and uses this power to fight against a power hungry megalomaniac and his private army.

Fans of Hrithik Roshan can finally heave a sigh of relief. Shekhar Kapur recently rubbished rumours that Bollywood's Greek God has been replaced with Rockstar Ranbir Kapoor for Kapur's ambitious project Paani.
It seems that Kapur had just met Ranbir in a casual way and things ot out of hand when rumours started suggesting that Shekhar might have decided to replace Hrithik with Ranbir, who is considered the next big star of Bollywood.
Putting an end to all speculations, Kapur revealed on microblogging site Twitter that the rumours are false and anyone would be silly to think about replacing Hrithik in any film. Kapur also gushed about Ranbir and added that the future of Indian cinema is safe with the breed of new stars.

Director Shekhar Kapur will be making a special appearance in good friend Preity Zinta's maiden production Ishkq In Paris. He is going to play the role of French actress Isabelle Adjani's husband in this film.
Shekhar Kapur tweeted, "Had d pleasure of playing Isabelle Adjani's husband. Even for 1 day it was a pleasure as I have been her ardent fan forever."
He will also be seen in a guest appearance in Kamal Haasan's upcoming film Vishwaroop.
