Following Vidya Balan, the entire unit of the under-production film Ghanchakkar has moved close to the venue of the shooting at the Essel Studio in Trombay for the coming few days.

Director Rajkumar Gupta was quoted saying that all of them decided to move to Trombay as commuting every day from different parts of Mumbai to the studio would make them lose precious time.

Gupta is currently staying with a relative in Trombay. Vidya also has her own place in Trombay, while the other members of the unit have found temporary residence.

Ghanchakkar, starring Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan, is currently on floors and is set to release early next year.

Actress Vidya Balan is known for being versatile in her acting. On the sets of her next film Ghanchakkar, in which she stars opposite Emraan Hashmi, the actress has turned her own stylist.

Her costume designer, Subarna Ray Chaudhuri, is suffering from Malaria and is not in a condition to work. A source from the unit was quoted saying that Vidya did not want another stylist to fill in for Subarna, so she decided to take the calls on her costumes herself. Subarna is Vidya's favourite and she cannot trust anyone else with her costumes. However, the source adds that Subarna's assistant is helping Vidya. Balan, who has been criticized for her dressing choices in films such as Kismet Konnection' and Heyy Babyy, does stand a chance to feel vindicated with this decision to turn stylist.

'Ghanchakkar', directed by Rajkumar Gupta, is currently on floors.

It appears that actor Irrfan Khan had shown interest in the Emraan Hashmi-Vidya Balan starrer Ghanchakkar. However, looks like director Rajkumar Gupta realized that his shooting dates clashed with Irrfan's.

A source was quoted saying that Irrfan had met Rajkumar a couple of times regarding the project.

However, it wasn't for the lead role but for a particular character.

The actor insisted on doing the role in spite of it not being that significant. However, since the shooting schedule was clashing with another film of Irrfan's, Rajkumar could not get him on board.
