If things go as director Ali Abbas Zafar wishes, actress Katrina Kaif, who had worked with Zafar in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, might be roped in as the female lead in Gunday, a YRF flick which stars Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor.
Buzz has it that as Zafar has worked with Katrina before and shares a comfort level with her, the director is quite keen to sign up Kaif for the role in the flick, which is set in the 1970-1980 era Kolkata. The film is supposed to have Singh and Kapoor play small time gangsters, who rise to power in the underworld and become major players in the black-market industry.
Kaif was last seen playing the role of a Pakistani spy in Kabir Khan's Ek Tha Tiger, where she was romantically paired opposite former flame Salman Khan. The actress will also be seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan for the very first time in Yash Chopra's Untitled Romance.

Filmmaker Yash Chopra, who is turning 80 on September 27, has grand plans to celebrate the big day. A big bash is being organized for the veteran's birthday and reports suggest that the theatrical trailer of his yet-untitled film will also be launched on the same day.
Chopra, who returns to direction after eight years, will also complete 50 years in the industry.
A source was quoted saying that since his production house has also completed 40 years, Yash Chopra plans to celebrate his birthday by launching the trailer and the title of his much-awaited film.
Seems that after the current Ladakh schedule is over, the promo will be ready and son Aditya Chopra will be taking special care to make this the biggest film of his father's illustrious career.
There has been a lot of speculation about the name of the film. Although, buzz is that the name finalized is Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum, Yash Chopra, Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan are still considering other names.
The film, also starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, is set to release on November 13.

Actor Shah Rukh Khan hopes to be back home from Ladakh in the Jammu and Kashmir region, for Eid-ul-Fitr, which falls on Monday.
He will be shooting the last schedule of A Yash Chopra Romance film in the Valley.
At a recent event, Khan said, "I'll try to come back for Eid, read the namaaz at home and all. But I don't know if I can come back from Ladakh if I am shooting there."
Shah Rukh, who reportedly plays an army man in the film, would be growing a beard for this particular schedule.
The teaser of the film was released on August 15, along with the release of the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer Ek Tha Tiger.
The yet-untitled film also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma and is slated for a November 13 release.

A few weeks ago, there had been news in the media that the television unit of Shah Rukh Khan's company Red Chillies, which made shows like Parindey and Tere Mere Beach Mein, has shut shop due to certain issues.
However, the King Khan recently claimed that nothing could be further from the truth. Khan did admit that he might outsource the work of Red Chillies Idiot Box, but that the unit has not shut down but is merely on hold. Khan also revealed that he plans to focus on the VFX wing and film production so they might not make new shows through the television unit.
Shah Rukh Khan will be next seen making a comeback to his romantic persona with Yash Chopra's Untitled love story, which also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. The film, which is one of the most highly anticipated films this year, is slated to release during Diwali 2012.

Fans of Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan, who were looking forward to see the former appear in a cameo in the latter's superhero flick Krrish 3, will surely sigh in disappointment on reading this piece of news.
It seems that director Rakesh Roshan recently denied reports about Khan appearing in a cameo in the film. It had been reported back then that the King Khan might reprise his RA.One superhero role for Krrish 3. However, now it seems that Khan might just be helping the Roshans with the special effects for the movie, as he has dealt with this department during his own RA.One days.
Krrish 3, which stars Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra, will also have actor Vivek Oberoi playing the role of the antagonist named Kaal. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan will be next seen playing a romantic role in Yash Chopra's Untitled flick, which also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma as the female leads.

Life certainly seems to be coming full circle for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The 'King Of Romance', who started his acting career by playing the role of an army cadet in television series Fauji, is reportedly playing an army officer in his next untitled film, which marks the directorial comeback of Yash Chopra.
Sources close to the film claimed that the film will also have a war sequence between either India and Pakistan or India and China, which is going to be shot in Ladakh. The film unit will leave for their schedule in Kashmir and Ladakh on August 20. Incidentally, Shah Rukh Khan has played the role of a military officer in Farah Khan's Main Hoon Na and also in Veer Zaara, two films that turned out to be major hits.
Yash Chopra's untitled flick is one of the most awaited films this year as Khan will be seeing do what he does best- romantic roles. The film is also genereating a buzz because Khan will be seen romancing Katrina Kaif for the very first time in the movie.
This Yash Chopra directed untitled flick is slated to release this Diwali. Lets wait and watch if playing an armyman proves to be lucky for the King Khan once more…
