It seems Balaji flick Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum is still not out of trouble, despite the fact that it has been weeks after the adult comedy released across the country.

Sources claim that the Congress party officials in Goa want to seek a ban on the film in their state as they feel that the film has offended the religious sentiments of Christians. Not only this, Congress spokesperson and legislator Reginaldo Lourenco also said that a First Information Report (FIR) would be filed against Ekta Kapoor in Panaji on Friday. The controversy took place after certain groups took offence to a scene in the film, which shows a priest presiding over a marriage between a dog and a bitch.

However, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parikkar reportedly claimed that the Censor Board, which has passed the film, comes under the jurisdiction of the Central government and as such, the State Government of Goa has no authority to ban a film passed by the Censor Board.

Starring Tusshar Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Sarah Jane Dias and Neha Sharma, Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum was a sex comedy about the antics of two young men, who land in hilarious situations while trying to change their fortunes.

Though team Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum is riding high on the success of the film, a few sections of the society are not too pleased with the sex comedy. A case has been filed against producer Ekta Kapoor, director Sachin Yardi and the lead actors of the film, after a community forum complained that a few scenes of the movie have hurt their religious sentiments.

The complaint has been filed by Joseph Dias, a resident of Bandra, Mumbai, who is also the general secretary of Catholic Secular Forum (CSF). Dias believes that in the film a priest is shown in a poor light, which makes a mockery of the Christian sacrament of marriage and the faith. It is a misrepresentation of priests and the community.

Team KSKHH has been booked under IPC sections 295A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention). Cops have confirmed that a complaint has been registered against the producer, director, writer and actors of the film, though no specific names have been mentioned. Police is investigating and if the members are found guilty, arrests will be made.

Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum stars Tusshar Kapoor, Sarah Jane Dias, Riteish Deshmukh and Neha Sharma in the lead roles and has been declared a hit at the box-office.

These are turning out to be real good times for Bollywood. Bol Bachchan, Cocktail and now Kya Super Kool Hain Hum - Three different films catering to varied sensibilities have been accepted by the audience, and how. Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum was always looking like a success in the making but its stupendous opening (of 23 crores) was reason enough to rejoice. Detractors though were busy writing obituaries as many were of belief that the so-called 'vulgar, disdainful and cringe worthy' film won't survive over the weekdays. None of this happened though as the film stayed on to be quite stable over the weekdays too.

Result? The film has now netted close to 33 crores in its first week, hence assuring itself a comfortable hit tag. In fact for both Riteish Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor, this is their biggest money spinner ever in a two hero set up. Though both of them have hugely successful franchises like Golmaal and 'Housefull' to their name, these have been three-four hero setups with Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar respectively leading the bunch. In case of Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum though, the junior-most amongst the tribe have managed to find audience apne dam par which is double the reason for celebration for them.

The film will get impacted over the weekend though since Jism 2 is arriving with a good hype. Later in the middle of the week when Gangs of Wasseypur II releases (it arrives on a Wednesday), there would be further competition in store. However, this Sachin Yardi adult comedy is the kind of film that could fetch its loyal (college going) audience in days to come as well on a steady basis till Ek Tha Tiger arrives.

The job is done though with the milestone of 45 crores pretty much in sight. However for a 50 crore affair, Riteish and Tusshar would have to wait for another day. Not that they would complain as their film is now one of the top grossing success of the years so far and that too after being made at a throwaway cost.

In fact it is better than the likes of Teri Meri Kahaani (Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra) and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (Kareena Kapoor, Imran Khan) which were obviously far bigger projects and also more expensive. Moreover, while both these films were extensively shot in foreign
locations, Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum was an entirely 'desi' film with Goa as the most exotic location it could think of visiting.

Balaji's winning streak continues with its latest release, Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum that has garnered huge numbers on Day 1 at the domestic box office.

This is the studio's seventh successive hit after Love Sex Aur Dhokha, 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai', 'Taaryanche Bait (Marathi), Shor In The City, Ragini MMS and The Dirty Picture.

The raunchy comedy, starring Tusshar Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh, collected Rs. 7.12 Cr (Net) on Friday, making it one of the top 10 openers of the year.

The opening numbers have been better than some of the other films that released earlier this year, that were made on higher budgets and featured a bigger star cast.

Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum is poised for an enormous opening weekend of 22 Cr+.

Adi (Tusshar Kapoor), a struggling actor and Sid (Riteish Deshmukh) a DJ, are two room-mates who want to make it big in life. Adi believes in astrology and when he is told that his fortune would change after he meets his soulmate, a girl whose name begins with the letter 'S', the naive Adi starts believing it. His beliefs get reinforced when he comes across Simran Kapoor (Neha Sharma), a call centre employee, who seems to be lucky for the struggler. Meanwhile, Sid, who earns extra bucks by letting his horny pug breed with female canines, falls for Anu (Sarah Jane Dias), a model and the daughter of a Goan billionaire Marlow (Anupam Kher). The two young men follow the girls to Goa to recover a diamond belonging to Sid that Adi had gifted to Simran and how this leads to a roller-coaster ride of laughter is something that should be enjoyed with a bucket of pop-corn.

Though this reviewer is not a big fan of Tusshar Kapoor, it must be said that the Balaji boy matches Riteish Deshmukh when it comes to comic timing in this flick. Both the 'Kool' actors are sure to make you start laughing helplessly from the first scene onwards. Deshmukh is as good as usual in comic roles and his character's habit of inserting Marathi words and phrases (something that he uses in almost all his comedy films like Housefull 2) between Hindi dialogues adds to the humour element. Neha Sharma and Sarah Jane Dias do not get to do much though the glam quotient of the movie is definitely taken care of. Anupam Kher and Chunky Pandey do tend to ham at times but then, audiences would be too busy laughing at the antics of Deshmukh and Kapoor to hold any grudge against Pandey and Kher.

If the prequel, directed by Sangeeth Sivan was a hit, director Sachin Yardi ensures that the sequel is no less when it comes to humour. Like mentioned earlier, the movie is full of crass humour, ribald jokes and nasty humour aimed at everyone from homosexuals to canines to other movies and stars. What's admirable about the movie is that it is unapologetic to the core and right there in your face. Prudes might for sure wrinkle their collective noses at the 'Kool' brand of humour, but then….the movie is not meant to be watched by them at all! However, on the flip side, the second half of the movie seems a bit stretched and some of the jokes are the types which we had heard in school. Moreover, the Chunky Pandey-Anupam Kher scenes are not as funny and the makers had hoped it would be

Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum is as 'Dirty' as it gets but except for a few flaws, this Balaji product is a thoroughly enjoyable watch!

Smart marketing, aggressive promotion and continued hype has done well for Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum. The film, which has been pretty unabashed as far as tagging itself as a sex comedy is concerned, has been in news ever since it was launched. Resultantly, close to 8-9 months after it started making buzz, the Riteish Deshmukh-Tusshar Kapoor starrer sequel to Kya Kool Hain Hum, is all set to fetch a good start all over this weekend. As things stand today, while 60%-70% start is a given (which is good considering the fact that it would be patronised mainly by students and youth), expect houseful shows by late night.

Ever since sequels came into vogue, the trend has been for each of them to do at least double the business (at times even triple) of the original. The only exception has been Rakht Charitra but then well, that's a different story altogether. Going by that logic, and also considering the fact that the market has really expanded for films in last 7-8 years, Kya Super Kool Hain Hum should comfortably cross the 40 crores mark as it's lifetime collections. In fact it won't be surprising if this number is reached by the second weekend itself but for that one has to wait and watch for the actual content.

The film's promos have pretty much indicated what the content is all about. This also means that it would be a push for the family audience (sans their children) to be actually venturing in theatres in hordes. More so since 'A' certificate would be further deterrent. However with an entire week open for itself by virtue of being a sole release, the film should rake in good moolah. While the film is all set to be a success, it would also bring in a double hat trick for Riteish Deshmukh who has five successive profit makers behind him (Housefull 2, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, Double Dhamaal, F.A.L.T.U, Housefull).

While the success would also mean that Tusshar would be able to shrug off the failure of Chaar Din Ki Chandni, it would also be second lease of life for Sarah Jane Dias (Game) and Neha Sharma (Crook). As for Ekta Kapoor, she would be looking forward to yet another success for her after The Dirty Picture.

Meanwhile, a film called Aalaap is also releasing this weekend but this barely promoted outing doesn't stand a chance at the box office.

Actress Sarah Jane Dias got struck by a stone hurled by a random person during a promotional event in Faridabad for her upcoming film Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum.

Her co-stars from the film Riteish Deshmukh, Tusshar Kapoor and Neha Sharma were also present on the stage when this unfortunate incident occurred.

Sarah tweeted, "A stone was thrown at me on stage in #Faridabad, it hit and hurt my lip, for the first time in my life, I'm truly ashamed of our people... It's deeply disheartening to have to say horrible things about my country...but this was uncouth and had it have been someone 'more important' it would not have gone down well... No, I'm not okay but if they were trying to defeat my spirit, it hasn't worked..."

Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum makers have followed an unabashed approach and declared right through their promotion that the film isn't meant for critics who want a seven course meal in a five star buffet. Instead, KSKHH is being touted as one masala dish that has been put together for the man on the street who wants his appetite to be satiated by desi stuff.

Says Riteish Deshmukh after a pause, "I am not saying that this movie won't be liked by critics. I am just saying that the last time when we brought Kyaa Kool Hai Hum critics didn't like it. Still it was a superhit. So I am just reminding the critics of that and I am sure that they will definitely enjoy it if they watch it without a pre-conceived bias!"

He has a good reason to be oblivious to the critical acclaim (or the lack of it) that the film may end up gaining. After all, though there are smiles on everyone's face, the scars still remain in the heart. When Kyaa Kool Hai Hum had released, some critics gave it zero stars. In fact a leading newspaper left the space for the review empty with a simple statement at the bottom reading that the film didn't deserve a review.

"No hard feelings though," says Riteish after a deep sigh. "They were judging my film, it’s okay. As an actor, I am not judging them as a person just because they gave my film a bad review. They are critics and have every right to say what they feel about a film. Eventually I am taking my film to the public and critics too are taking their review to the same people. It is the junta that decides the final outcome. They have grown when it comes to digesting such subjects and are actually waiting for more bold stuff to be churned out."

No wonder, even though it is a well spread out dish, the film would be looked at with a hawk's eye once it hits the screens this Friday.

Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum is all set for release and one of the prime attractions of the film is Sarah Jane Dias and Neha Sharma comingtogether for a lesbian act. Even though it is the result of certain misunderstandings and basically adds on to the fun instead of being risque, the actresses had to convey it all with a straight face as if it was a walk in the park.

"Yeah, there is this fun on lesbian track between us," Sarah lights up, "Basically what happens is that for certain reasons the two of us have to fake being lesbians, which leads to a series of funny events. One of them is the now-popular Devdas sequence, which I wassure had it to tickle the audience. Neha and I had so much fun playing naughty lesbians."

No wonder, it was quite difficult for both actresses to perform these comic scenes without breaking into laughter time and again. After all, some jokes were so naughty that despite their best efforts, they wouldfrequently break into a guffaw.

"Trust me, it was damn difficult," she confesses while adding, "It isn't something that you do in every film even if it is a comedy, right?"

Though Sarah insists that Neha and she aren’t the best of friends, they had good mutual understanding and respect.

"She is a lovely girl and in a way since both of us are quite similar, we didn't have to work hard on our chemistry. Also, commercially we both are in the same boat. It isn't as if she is more successful than me or vice versa. Agar aisa hota toh shaayad ladhai jhagade hote but sorry to disappoint you, none of that happened," she chuckles before signing off.

Poor Riteish Deshmukh! The actor might have earned accolades for his comic timing and one-liners in the trailers of upcoming flick Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum, but it seems one cannot please everyone at all…

Sources claim that the actor's father Vilasrao Deshmukh, who was Maharashtra Chief Minister in the past, is quite miffed with his son. It seems that in one of the songs of the film titled hum hai cappuchino, the actor was required to pull out the lungi he was wearing and throw it away, which did not amuse daddy dearest one bit, as he found it offensive.

Ekta Kapoor visited the holy shrine of Sufi Saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti in Ajmer, Rajasthan. She paid obeisance for the success of her upcoming film Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum that stars Tusshar Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh.

After offering prayers, she headed to Jaipur where she promoted the upcoming sex comedy.

The film, directed by Sachin Yardi, is set to hit the screens on July 27.

Balaji flick Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum is yet to release but it has already ruffled many feathers because of objectionable content in its trailers and it seems that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali might be the latest to join the list.

Sources claim that the film trailer shows a scene wherein Tusshar Kapoor is dressed as Devdas with Neha Sharma and Sarah Jane Dias as Chandramukhi and Paro respectively. Moreover, in the scene, the women make a remark about battery-operated sex toys available in the market when Tusshar's character tries to convince Neha's character about falling for him instead of Sarah.

In an effort to defuse a possible explosive situation, Ekta Kapoor clarified, "A spoof is the best form of flattery. We've spoofed as many as five films including The Dirty Picture. Everyone knows that the spoofs are in a light vein. There is no personal dig and I don't think Sanjay will be upset."

While it's terribly scorching this summer, inside theaters there is something 'kool' expected with Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum. While some of the albums these days are experimental with lyrics that are more meaningful and have a lot of depth to explore, there are also songs - as heard in Kya Super Kool Hain Hum - that are always welcome in a stressful life. After all, at times who doesn't wish to hear something light that does not warrant that you think but instead brings you on toes or makes you hum a few lines as well. That is exactly the definition of this very album composed by Anjjan - Meet Brothers, hence turning out to be a pleasant change.

The strength of the album is not only its unconventional, yet catchy lyrics given by Kumaar but also its vocal diversity, courtesy Sonu Nigam, Kailash Kher, Daler Mehndi, Sukhwinder Singh and Vishal Dadlani. But here is a missing piece; there is no female voice to hear. Leave aside a solo; there isn't even a duet, something that does one miss.

KSKHH is a humorous movie with an objective of filling loads of fun in your life and this comic intellect is well established by its first track - Dil Garden Garden Ho Gaya. Lyrics by Mayur Puri rhyme and make best use of attractive but close to common man terminology. If you are feeling down and low, put this Sachin-Jigar composed track on and shake your leg; rest assured you would be in high spirits.. There is a definite punch in the track (of not a bang) and the remix track follows the original as well.

Sonu Nigam's jadoo can be felt deep in the next track, Shirt Ka Button. Anjjan - Meet Brothers take over from here and their music is simple and pleasant. On the other hand interesting lyrics by Kumaar highlight his knowledge and love for female accessories, case in point being words that go as Baalon ka clip, aankhon ka liner, ring, button, color, necklace' etc. Lyrics are rather catchy as they also use English words like 'die hard', 'lover' etc. that act as good connectors for Hindi poetic lines. The magical romantic vocals of Sonu promise to de-stress one after a heavy day. Play the track in your car while driving home and feel relaxed. On the other hand people in love can well close their eyes, listen to it and dream of the one they adore while enjoying the moments to cherish.

Who says a successful and hit item number can only be done in feminine vocals? The challenge is well taken up and delivered by two amazing and strong voices of Sukhwinder Singh and Daler Mehndi in the next track - Hum Toh Hain Cappuccino (U.P. - Bihar Lootne). The hit track of 90s that is one of the pioneer in the history of item numbers, Main Aai Hoon U.P. Bihar Lootne, that was sung by Sapna Awasti and composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy for the album Shool, has been redefined here. This 'tadka' number has the power to make masses clap and dance with it. Yet again, Kumaar has used very light lyrics that are easy to remember and the variation in this track can be made out from the fact that the folk flavor of U.P has been well complimented by the Marathi music.

It's time to play a game with the next song. What is the antonym of 'hot'? Well, it is 'cool'. And what is the antonym of Volume Kam Kar (Pappa Jag Jaayega) from Housefull? Well, it is the next track in KSKHH - Volume High Karle. As it turns out, this is a very average track sung by Neeraj Shreedhar. This one may have some life to it only in discotheques and dance parties but otherwise one won't appreciate on a regular day. Moreover, its non-captivating lyrics further bring it down. The 'remix track' is still better than the original track but that doesn't say much.

Before the album ends, there is experimentation with another version of - Shirt Ka Button. This time around, it's the Sufi voice of Kailash Kher that recreates the charm of the original. It's quite a shift in music where two icons of the music industry sing the same number in an entirely different fashion as this one is a slower version. It is beautiful magic with romance and Sufi taking on each other. You can pick either of the two depending on the mood, hence leading to a rare choice.

Overall, a good album that has a lot of comic sense to support its theme and has in it to surely 'kool' you down.

The reason- a pug in the film, who is named Fakhruddin, which has reportedly ruffled quite some feathers.

It seems that the family members of India's fifth President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed are not amused by the Balaji brand of humour and the former President's nephew, one Imtiaz Rasul, has confirmed that he is in talks with the rest of the family members to decide a course of action. Besides this, even the Delhi based Muslim Ekta Trust has threatened legal action against the makers as they claim that naming a dog Fakhruddin might hurt religious sentiments.
