The launch of the theatrical trailer of Rani Mukerji's upcoming film Aiyya, opposite Malayam superstar Prithviraj, is all set to happen in a few days. However, the date hasn't been fixed and reports suggest that Rani wants her mother Krishna to approve the promo before it is released.
Sources claim that the film is very close to Rani's heart as she will be seen in a never-before-seen role. Apparently, Rani normally isn't too fond of skin show in films but going by her standard, Aiyya has considerable bold content. So, she wants to take her mother Krishna's approval before it goes on air.
Sources add that she is extremely excited about the role and is looking forward to the release. Aiyya, directed by Sachin Kundalkar and co-produced by Anurag Kashyap along with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, is set to release by year-end.
Rani Mukerji is so fond of choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant that she readily agreed to wait for her to get free and direct her dance numbers in Aiyya.
Rani has three item numbers in the film, co-produced by Anurag Kashyap and Viacom 18.
Sources claim that Rani waited for over two months to start shooting of Aiyya so that she could get Vaibhavi on board.
The reason was that the film demanded a lot of rigorous dance routines which she thought only Vaibhavi will be able to do justice to.
Aiyya, directed by Sachin Kundalkar, is said to be about a woman who gets attracted to a man because he smells good. Rani plays a Marathi girl and is paired opposite southern star Prithvi Raj in the film. Out of the three dance numbers in the film, one is a traditional Lavani song.
Aiyya is set to release on October 26.
After Katrina Kaif in Agneepath and Vidya Balan in Ferrari Ki Sawaari, it's Rani Mukerji's turn to do a lavani item number. This number will be for her upcoming film Aiyya and will be choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant.
Reportedly, in the film Rani's character has a habit of dreaming and the three numbers featuring her are all dream sequences.
Co-produced by Anurag Kashyap and Viacom 18, the movie is about a woman who finds a man attractive because he smells good.
Rani plays a Marathi girl in the movie and is paired opposite southern star Prithvi Raj.
The film is directed by Sachin Kundalkar.
The final editing of the film has been locked by Anurag Kashyap and he really liked the film.
Aiyya is set to release on 26 October.
