Challo Driver Movie Review

Challo Driver Movie Review- In Short- A young girl takes up a job as a chauffeur and manages to transform her employer from a snooty tycoon to a humane lover.

Challo Driver Movie Review- Verdict- The plot is interesting but the execution is sure to leave you unimpressed.

Challo Driver Movie Review- Story Plot- a young and adventurous girl Tania (Kainaz Motivala) wants to start up her own venture but needs money to do so. When her room-mate suggests that Tania take up the job of a driver, the young woman thinks it would be a fun and challenging thing to do and agrees to apply for the position. However, the job turns out to be a ride in hell for young Tania as her employer Arjun (Vickrant Mahajan), a humourless and no-nonsense business tycoon makes her life miserable with his finicky nature.

Arjun loves to accept challenges though and when Tania tricks him into a bet by claiming that he wouldn’t be able to work as a driver for even a day, Arjun dons the driver’s uniform and agrees to be Tania’s employee for a weekend, when she needs a driver to show her uncle Pappu (Manoj Pahwa) and aunt around the city. How this experience changes Arjun’s outlook towards life forms the rest of the story.

Challo Driver Movie Review- Performances- Vickrant Mahajan, who plays the protagonist, is also the director and producer of the film and as such, he should have taken the call not to act in it, we feel…for the simple reason that Mahajan looks too ‘boy next door’ to play an ultra-rich tycoon and he simply cannot even pull off the arrogance, which is required for the role. Kainaz Motivala as Tania is quite passable and so is Prem Chopra, who plays a small part as Arjun’s doting grandfather. However, it is Manoj Pahwa as the insufferable uncle Pappu, who draws the most guffaws. His one-liners and comic timing makes the flick a bit more tolerable…

Challo Driver Movie Review- Direction- Like stated earlier, though the plot is quite interesting, the execution is unimpressive and the director makes the mistake of making it too stereotypical and unnecessarily mushy. Moreover, except for the parts when Manoj Pahwa is in the frame, the film doesn’t really have anything on its own to arrest the attention of the audience.

Challo Driver Movie Review-Final Word: All in all, the film is one avoidable fare
