Director Vivek Agnihotri, whose last film Hate Story starring dusky Bong beauty Paoli Dam, created ripples across the industry due to its bold content, is now all set to don the hat of a producer, it seems.
Sources claim that Agnihotri is gearing up to produce a film named Freedom, which will be a political and historical thriller set in India's capital, New Delhi. The film will reportedly deal with the period from 1970 to 2000 and will have a realistic and rustic take along with various dramatic elements. A source attached to the movie said, "Vivek is planning to conduct workshops in Delhi where the actors (which are yet to be revealed) will be confined to a room so that they can get into the skin of the character. The political thriller promises to give a blow by blow account of modern day India during the last three decades, beginning from the time of emergency declared in 1975 by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi till date."
The film is to be produced by Vivek's flagship banner 'Durgamaaya Productions' and will go on floors in October 2012.
