Things are not going right for Shah Rukh Khan. First he was booked for smoking in public, then his scuffle with the Wankhede stadium's officials and now a case has been filed against him for disrespecting the national flag.
Social worker Ravindra Brahme has lodged a case against SRK for disrespecting the tricolour, while celebrating India's victory during the World Cup 2011. Brahme stated that while surfing the net, he found some pictures of Khan waving the flag upside down, i.e. the saffron colour was at the bottom and green on top.
Khan has been booked under Sections of Prevention of Insult to National Honour Act, 1971. The case was registered on August 14, 2012 and has been transferred to zone nine of Mumbai police for further investigation.
Brahme had also lodged a case against model Gehna Vasist, in the recent past, for using the tricolour as a bikini, for a photo shoot. Following the complaint, the model was arrested by the police. Brahme has announced that he has decided to start a movement against people who show disrespect to the Indian flag.
The case has been transferred to the Bandra police station, in Mumbai and cops are currently investigating the matter.
