Playing the role of an athlete seems to be quite fashionable in Bollywood lately. After Irrfan Khan played the role of a steeple-chase runner in Paan Singh Tomar' and Farhan Akhtar's role as Milkha Singh in upcoming Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, it seems Mallika Sherawat is also gearing up to put on her running shoes.
Sources claim that the Haryanvi hottie will be seen playing the role of a sprinter, who represents the country, in a film titled Lucky Unlucky, which is produced by Sonu Sood and also stars him. Sonu Sood revealed that when he used to read Mallika's interviews, she used to come across as very frank and fearless, which made him think of her for the role of the athlete.
Elated at the role, Mallika, who is undergoing coaching for the role, said that it was indeed heart-warming to see female athletes step out of their patriarchal homes to take up challenges and added that she hoped the movie 'Lucky Unlucky' would inspire many other women to do the same.
