It had been earlier reported that actress Sonakshi Sinha has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Imran Khan in Tigmanshu Dhulia's Milan Talkies. However, sources claim that the Rowdy actress might soon be replaced by Sonam Kapoor.

It is believed that as Sonakshi and Imran will be starring together in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, Dhulia did not want to repeat the pairing and wanted someone else to play the female lead. Dhulia and producer Ekta Kapoor will reportedly discuss this issue and then make their decisions about the cast.

Dhulia's last film Paan Singh Tomar was acclaimed both critically and commercially and his upcoming Milan Talkies reportedly deals with a small town love story set against the backdrop of video piracy.
