Trust Shah Rukh Khan to go out of his way to help his friends! A few months after he patched up with Farah Khan post their tiff following Khan's assault on Farah's husband Shirish Kunder, the 'King Khan' made an appearance at the music launch and new poster (which mimics the poster of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge) unveiling event of Bela Sehgal Bhansali's Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, which marks the acting debut of Farah Khan.
Needless to say, SRK was at his charming best as he teased Farah and Boman Irani cheekily about their film, which he said was a 'love story based on geriatrics'. On a serious note, Khan recalled, ''I remember many years ago, when Sanjay Leela Bhansali was discussing Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, I thought that this movie might not work as the lead characters were people in their 40s but I guess at that time, we were not matured or grown up enough to know that love needs no age and that such a movie can indeed work.”
Looking dapper in a suit and flashing his trademark dimples, Khan also informed that he has a Parsi connection as his name (Shah Rukh) is Persian. Directed by Bela Bhansali Sehgal, Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi stars Boman Irani opposite Farah Khan and revolves around the romance between a Parsi couple in their 40s.
