After 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun' And 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', Boman-Farah Go The 'DDLJ' Way

In the past, two posters of upcoming flick Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi have spoofed Bollywood hits like Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and now, the latest poster to be unveiled yesterday, mimicked the famous poster of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Needless to say, Farah's good friend and the lead actor of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was present at the event and charmed everyone with his ready wit and charisma.

Shah Rukh Khan, who has patched up with Farah Khan post their tiff following Khan's assault on Farah's husband Shirish Kunder, seemed quite amused at seeing the poster and quipped, "This (DDLJ) was the one movie I thought no one would make fun of, but even this has happened today. I remember many years ago, when Sanjay Bhansali was discussing Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, I thought that this movie might not work as the lead characters were people in their 40s but I guess at that time, we were not matured or grown up enough to know that love needs no age and that such a movie can indeed work. Usually, love stories are made for teenagers but its high time we made a film about geriatrics!" Khan further teased Sanjay Leela Bhansali for finally producing a light-hearted and fun flick.

Khan also enacted a scene from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge while Farah Khan pretended to be Simran (Kajol) and Boman Irani was made to play the role of late Amrish Puri, who had played Kajol's father in the movie.

Directed by Bela Bhansali Sehgal, 'Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi' stars Boman Irani opposite Farah Khan and revolves around the romance between a Parsi couple in their 40s.
