Fans of Salman Khan in Pakistan would surely groan in disappointment at this piece of news. It seems that the Pakistan Censor Board, which had earlier issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for importing the print of Salman starrer Ek Tha Tiger, has now reportedly decided to ban the film!
Though there has been no official announcement as such, Pakistani distributors claim that they have been told that the film won't be releasing in Pakistan. Understandably, director Kabir Khan is quite miffed with this and was quoted saying that he felt sad that a film that promotes peace and friendship between the two countries has fallen victim to politics. The Pakistan Censor Board had objections to the film as the spy flick had references to their country's secret intelligence agency ISI. In the recent past, even Saif Ali Khan's slick thriller Agent Vinod was banned in Pakistan for the same reasons.
Ek Tha Tiger, which released on August 15 in India, revolved around the adventures of a RAW agent, who is sent on an undercover mission and ends up falling in love with a girl with a dark secret. The film also starred Katrina Kaif as the lead actress.
