Though Shahid Kapoor's last release Teri Meri Kahaani, failed to impress the audiences, the actor is currently on a film signing spree. After being roped in for Prabhu Deva's Namak, Shahid has now signed Rajkumar Santoshi's next. The film will be a masala entertainer and is tentatively titled Phata Poster Nikla Hero.
The producer of the movie, Ramesh Taurani has confirmed that the flick will feature Kapoor in the lead role, and will be helmed by Santoshi. Taurani also revealed that he discussed the project with Shahid for almost six months.
The plot of the film revolves around a young boy who wants to be a superstar, despite his mother's protests. He also clarified that the film is an original story and not a remake.
Though the makers have not locked the film's female lead yet, the movie is expected to go on floors this November.
