There has already been a major media buzz created around filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming film Heroine and it seems that the acclaimed director is already thinking of future projects even before the release of Heroine.
Bhandarkar, who is lauded for making realistic films, was recently quoted saying in an interview that he wants to make a political thriller next. Madhur added that it has been nine years since he made Satta, a film that explored the dark nexus between politicians, police and the corporate world and he wants to try his hand at another political thriller now.
In the past, Bhandarkar has made movies on various issues like corruption in the media (Page 3), the grim underbelly of the glamorous fashion industry (Fashion) and the dance bar industry (Chandni Bar).
Heroine, which is being pegged as Bhandarkar's magnum opus, stars Kareena Kapoor alongwith Randeep Hooda and Arjun Rampal in pivotal roles.
