Dusky dame Chitrangda Singh's sultry item song kaafirana in Shirish Kunder's next flick Joker might have impressed many, but it seems that a group of patriotic activists have taken offence to the lyrics of the song.
It seems that some of the lyrics of the song refer to female freedom fighter Rani Laxmibai in what the activists claim to be a derogatory manner and this has angered the activists, who want the producers and Kunder to delete the line. A lawyer representing the group also hinted that they might move the Bombay High Court if the line is not deleted.
Starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles, Joker revolves around a remote village named Paglapur, which becomes popular overnight following reports of alien landings and crop circles.
