Akshay Kumar Read Bhagwad Gita For 'OMG Oh My God!' Role

We had reported a few days back that actor Akshay Kumar, who will be seen playing the role of Lord Krishna in OMG Oh My God! had quit his non vegetarian diet after his mother urged him to turn to vegetarianism as long as he was working on the film. Now, it seems that our Khiladi has gone one step ahead to better understand his character.

Sources claim that at the behest of his mother, Akshay Kumar started reading the Bhagwad Gita, which is considered to be a holy text for Hindus, as Akki's mother felt that it was quite important for him to read the holy book if he was going to play the role of Krishna in the film. Being the good son that he is, our 'Rowdy' actor complied and went through the Gita.

Based on an acclaimed Hindi play Kishan v/s Kanhaiya, OMG Oh My God! is a story about a cynical atheist played by Paresh Rawal, who files a case against God for the loss suffered by him after his shop is destroyed due to a natural calamity.
