Newbie actors Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, who were seen romantically paired opposite each other as Parma Chauhan and Zoya Qureshi in Ishaqzaade, recently interacted with the students of Subhash Ghai's Whistling Woods Institute alongwith their director Habib Faisal.
The event was conducted to welcome the fresh class of 2012, who shall begin their classes in July. Talking about the ideation of script and the choosing of actors for a particular role, Faisal said, "Every script is a process of discovery where you start with a germ. Ishaqzaade began with two very raw characters in a small town. In the process of developing, they became two characters of rival political families. I see how well trained is the candidate as an actor, and if they have gone through similar situations in real life to have the capacity to understand the intricacies of the characters in the story and then the physicality."
On his part, Arjun Kapoor said, "Being part of a film family and someone who has grown up in the city, I had to work very hard to play this character of Parma. Habib sir took us to Lucknow to understand & take in the culture there. I worked on my character with Habib sir for six months before shooting. I am glad that finally all the hard work has been appreciated."
